My girlfriend and I just got back from voting for Ron Paul (and dinner to celebrate the first time we felt *good* about voting!)!
1st District - I can't believe no one is running against Steve Chabot! I used to like him, but I've had to write a couple of letters recently because I had some disagreement with some of his votes. All I can say is Go Tom Brinkman!! (wish I could have voted for him!)
And why the heck hasn't someone run against Simon Lies for Sheriff!?!?
/end rant - GO RON PAUL!!!!
I voted in the first district earlier today. I was very, very careful to fill in both boxes completely for Ron Paul.
I also really wanted to write in "Lord Voldemort" in the hopes he might beat Chabot and bring some [relative

] integrity to Congress, but there was no option for a write-in on the ballot...it sucks that nobody has run against him yet. I would like to eventually, but at 23 and without any community involvement or any real experience in the private sector (and without a "fast lane ticket" like a law degree

), I'm not only technically ineligible - I'm outright unelectable anyway.

It'll be a few more cycles before I can actually seriously consider running - and by then, who knows what the country is going to look like...
BTW, I have no idea who Simon Lies even is. That's the problem about local elections...how the heck do you even find anything out about any of the candidates? Where do you go for your info?
Also - in terms making sure to vote for Ron Paul's delegates, I foolishly forgot to look up how Ohio's primaries work. Since I voted for delegates and delegates-at-large on the ballot, I assumed I was covered, but I got kind of scared a few moments ago when I read something in the Texas forum about people going to a convention to vote for the delegates. We don't have anything like that, right? (I guess if we do, it's too late and you can flog me for incompetence, but...)
