i would do both, just so you're in the system, but emailing Jerry will be the best way to start making calls, fast.

I made roughly 30 calls yesterday - it was around 1:30-2:30 on a Saturday and most of them didn't answer. Late afternoon - early evening will probably get better results. Very nice phone bank.

For those wondering about cell phone minutes - you call into the system, I don't think the number will ever change, if you add that number to your cell phones friends and family list all the calls will be free. Just a thought.
Cell phones and landlines are more reliable than google.com/voice

Made some calls this afternoon. The interface is pretty sweet. The only thing I would change is making the script available for preview just so you can get used to it. If you've phone banked with the campaign before, this is a far superior interface than anything they had last time around. If you haven't done any phone banking we need your help making calls so email Jerry @ [email protected] and get to work. The phonebanking and GOTV efforts are what will help us win Iowa (both the straw poll and the caucus) and the rest of the states.

The Ron Paul supporters I'm identifying are mostly off the campaign's radar, and calling them will give you a morale boost when you find some of them eager to attend the Ames straw poll for Ron Paul.

Question about Google Voice: Is it something you can use independently of your regular cell phone service, or does it REPLACE your cell phone service altogether? I'm asking because, in setting it up, it is saying that, "In order to configure your voicemail we need to access your current settings". This won't mess up my regular cell service, will it?
