To me, the "hit piece" in the TNR is a desperate cry for attention. They're going for notoriety. They are clearly trying to get a response. To get us to react.
Maybe the most appropriate response would be to laugh it off as the pathetic attempt that it is. Perhaps a quiet post on the official website from the campaign. But definitely not a return volley in the MSM. Thats what these guys are hoping for.
Now, if it becomes a MSM issue lasting more than a couple days, then put it to rest. But until then, don't dignify them with a response.
They are clearly threatened. Thats a good sign.
