The Newt debate strategy is clear: bus in supporters.

Gingrich did it in South Carolina. He knows that he has no merit nor does he have a conservative record, so like a stand up comedian or clown, he needs an audience to help present the illusion that he's the most popular.

Is there any reason to believe that Romney wont do this as well? Santorum would probably like to but it only works if you have supporters.

This is something that our supporters have done in the past but its now become mandatory: packing the debate audience with vocal Ron Paul supporters.

At this point...I don't care. Romney is bouncing back too quickly in Florida Polls and with his current trend should take Florida....very bad. We need Newt to to take Florida because Romney is going to be so much stronger once he gets out of the South and we these two to destroy each other to give Paul a chance.

Understood but I think this needs to be a priority going forward. Newt, and most like Romney, should not be the only ones to have a crowd which will cheer every one of their responses and in all likelihood, boo the others.

Will their bussed in "local supporters" be able to plaster a bajillion signs up around the debate forum and town, and have RP decked out cars driving everywhere around the forum, ect? There is still a lot RP supporters can do to dominate the scene.

I thought the OP was talking about rally crowds. Never mind.

From what I have been reading here, lots of RP supporters got tickets for the Jacksonville debate. It's not like RP supporters don't try to get in to them.

not giving up been fighting the battle for about 6 years straight now, but to be honest the little hope that I was starting to get for this Country over the past 6 months or so is quickly fading.

After all of the crap that has been going on for quite some time now you would think I wouldn't be shocked that people are favoring Newt and Romney...but I still just do not understand why and how America is so dumb.

The 5 plus million viewers aren't watching outside. They are watching the debate and the having cheers/claps gives a perception that the person who just spoke was "right." Newt was very good at using the SC debate question about his wife. He knew it was coming. I am sure he practiced it plenty of times in the mirror. He won over the crowd and the voters in SC. It's so elementary.
