I think the party is trying to find any way they can get his support without having to run him. I don't see any way other than giving him the nomination. Their only bet to keep any kind of control is running someone like Romney as his VP, because we all know Romney can change skins on cue and get behind anything. There was once point where I was hoping for something like a Paul/Huntsman ticket, but Huntsman has shown himself to be a truly dangerous moderate and that simply won't sit well with anyone of character. Not sure what concessions the party will want from him, but if we don't want him sabotaged in the general, something has to be given. Most likely the VP spot will have to be someone of the party's choosing.

I don't think any of us are willing to make the concessions The Party will really want of him. And I think all of us are going to look at insistence on an establishment veep as proof of an impending assassination, as that's the only thing that could possibly make a vice president relevant and we know they know it.

I think we're just going to have to deal with the sabotage as we get it thrown at us. Because we're not playing ball. We're having ourselves a revolution. We know it, and they know it.

End the overseas military intervention without an explicit declaration of war (not a war power or general, no-end-in-sight war on abstracts)

If the current Supreme Court won't end Obamacare, put up the judges who will
End all Federal gun laws and speech restrictions (campaign finance limitations, it is only limiting my wallet - why does Goldman Sachs have a bigger limit than I?)
End the patriot acts - in total!
Repeal the 16th Amendment

And that's just a start.

I'm surprised, and not surprised, that Ron didn't bring up the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist yesterday. Is this the kind of foreign policy that American's want or believe in? Murdering people in other countries who are just doing their job? I'm not sympathizing, just trying to play devil's advocate to the status quo. This war with Iran that Dr. Paul's been talking about is looking more and more obvious every day. I thought it was just rhetoric from neo-cons, but there's actual missions going on as we speak.
