The Neoconservative Reference List

I'll just put this here.

https://www.lewrockwell.com/?post_type=lrc-blog&p=580750

In one of his recent NY Times columns the house neocon bemoans “the force of individualism” that he says is leading to a dreaded “atomization of intellectual life.” He then gets all nostalgic over the far superior good ole days:

“Eighty years ago engaged students at City College in New York sat in the cafeteria hour after hour, debating [which type of communism was better]. The Trotskyites were smarter and won the debates, the Leninist faction eventually forbade their cadres from even talking to them.”

Among the “smarter” Trotskyites were many of the founding fathers of neo-conservatism such as Irving Kristol, father of Bill, among others. Who would ever have dreamed back then that a ragtag cabal of teenage communists from New York would some day take over the American foreign policy establishment?

The scourge of the planet.

This can't be bumped enough time, but I honestly think the resident Trumpkins here believe that Trump will make neoconservatism great again.

Who is Nikki's neoconservative controller?

Jon Lerner to Serve as Deputy UN Ambassador

WASHINGTON – Nikki Haley, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for UN Ambassador, has selected Jon Lerner to be her deputy, according to FITSNews, a South Carolina political website. The selection was first reported by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, citing several sources.

A veteran advisor to the South Carolina Governor, Lerner, who is Jewish, has worked with numerous GOP clients including Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Tim Scott (R-SC). Lerner is considered a staunch conservative.
...
Throughout the 2016 Presidential race, Lerner played a key role in the NeverTrump campaign, Politico reported in March. Working as a senior strategist for the Washington-based Club for Growth, the group started airing ads against Trump during the fall of 2014 in Iowa. Club for Growth intensified its efforts against the New York businessman spending millions on ads in key states of Florida and Illinois.
...
In 2013, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg tapped Lerner to help run a political advocacy group that lobbied for legislative reform on immigration and education.

“Jon is one of the most brilliant minds in politics, having guided candidates such as Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, and Marco Rubio,” Nick Muzin, a former senior advisor to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) told Jewish Insider. “He is also a tremendous mentsch, and a Kiddush Hashem. I can’t wait to see what he and Nikki will do at the UN.”

The Minnesota native considers longtime political consultant Arthur Finkelstein a mentor. Finkelstein is well known for playing a critical role in the merger of Benjamin Netanyahu and Avigdor Lieberman before the 2013 elections and also helped Netanyahu oust Shimon Peres as Prime Minister in 1996.
...
A political acquaintance of his told us that Lerner was often heavily involved in crafting foreign policy position papers for clients running for Congress.

Advising Haley then – and now – is Jewish neoconservative pollster and political consultant Jon Lerner (below, far left), who certainly appears to be whoring Haley out politically on the national stage every bit as aggressively as he whored out another former S.C. governor – Mark Sanford.

Haley is a puppet, people – all that’s changed is who is pulling her strings.

Is Oprah a neocon? Bill Kristol seems to have his candidate picked out for 2020.

Bill Kristol Goes on Tweetstorm Touting Oprah 2020: ‘#ImWithHer’

by Joseph A. Wulfsohn
January 8th, 2018

Oprah Winfrey’s speech at the Golden Globes has already sent 2020 shockwaves, but her biggest fan may not even be registered as a Democrat.

Bill Kristol, founder of the conservative magazine The Weekly Standard and one of the most vocal #NeverTrumpers, has thrown his support behind the legendary talkshow host — if she pursued a presidential run — in a series of tweets.

Kristol even celebrated Oprah as a fellow neo-con:

It certainly seems that Oprah is a neocon. The new Hillary, with a few modifications.

Perhaps Bill Kristol has some inside info, or he is jockeying for position or positions for fellow vetted neoconservatives.

Speculation is pointing to her being friendly with Israel...

Oprah Winfrey probably would be a pro-Israel president

(JTA) — Because this is the world we live in, buzz is now building around Oprah Winfrey running for president in 2020.

Winfrey sparked the speculation with a speech at the Golden Globes in which she praised women who have come forward with stories of sexual abuse, declared that the “time is up” for abusive men and promised girls that “a new day is on the horizon.” She also spoke about the importance of a free press that “keeps us from turning a blind eye to corruption and to injustice. To — to tyrants and victims, and secrets and lies.”

It’s hard to say what policies the iconic talk show host would support as leader of the free world (would we all get a car?). But one thing we can expect: President Oprah Winfrey would probably be pro-Israel.

Winfrey has had a positive relationship with Jewish leaders and the Jewish state stretching back at least a decade. In 2007, she was honored by Holocaust survivor and Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel at a dinner for his foundation, and pledged to visit the Jewish state — though the trip doesn’t appear to have happened. Upon receiving the award, Ynet News reported, Winfrey expressed sympathy for Israel’s fight against terrorism.

More recently, Winfrey has rejected an overture from the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel. In 2015, Winfrey wore diamonds from Israeli jeweler Lev Leviev on the cover of O, her monthly magazine. BDS activists came to the magazine’s office with a letter demanding Winfrey reject Leviev but were barred from entering.

Also, Tamar Geller, an Israeli ex-intelligence officer, once trained Winfrey’s dogs. So there’s that.

What about Oprah and The Jews? Winfrey connected a few times with Wiesel. In 2006, she selected his groundbreaking memoir, “Night,” for her book club, pushing it back onto best-seller lists decades after its publication. That year, she filmed an extended segment with Wiesel on the grounds of Auschwitz, the former concentration camp.

After ending her talk show in 2012, Winfrey spent a day with Chabad touring the Hasidic outreach group’s neighborhood in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. She had a meal at a Chabad home, met with five women from the Hasidic group and visited a mikvah, or Jewish ritual bath. She told Motti Seligson, a Chabad spokesman, that she was impressed with Chabad’s emphasis on family life.

John Kerry,Joe Biden,Dianne Feinstein are Neocons too...All of them voted for the Kosovo war,The iraq war & the Libya war...

This thread is intended to be a running reference list of those who advocate the neoconservative foreign policy agenda, including politicians, those in the media, and those at think-tanks and other organizations.

Quick definitions for use in this thread:

[*] - True neoconservatives: Someone who believes in a large, powerful, central government, especially when related to foreign policy. They will not really care about size and scope of government, taxes or spending. They probably (albeit sometimes secretly) support Common Core (Federal eduction control), Obamacare and Amnesty. They probably don't really care about the Second Amendment or the rest of the Bill of Rights. They may go with international standards rather than US Constitutional standards. If old enough, they very well may have been a former leftist-communist.

Their foreign policy will be very aggressive in most situations. They will believe in nation-building, nation changing and global manipulation. They will be particularly obsessed with anything related to Israel, Iran or Russia. Some of that obsession with Russia may stem from old communist ties and Stalin's betrayal of the international communist movement. The importance of spending for military contractors far outweighs any concerns about fiscal conservatism or spending. The military spending agenda results in a high amount of agenda overlap with advocates and lobbyists for the crony corporatist special interests generally referred to as the Military-Industrial complex by President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

[*]- Neoconservative on foreign policy: Fellow travelers with neoconservatives on some issues related to foreign policy. They may not align with neoconservatives on any other issues at all. Many average people in this category are unaware of the neoconservative agenda, but have been led into this position over the years. Often hard to distinguish from lobbyists for the Military-Industrial complex. This can include people who lean Tea Party (Teocon) or are pure establishment.

True neoconservatives:

- Elliot Abrams (Rubio, Cruz adviser)
- Sheldon Adelson (Billionaire donor, Rubio backer)
- Sen. Kelly Ayotte
- Gary Bauer
- Cofer Black (Romney adviser)
- Brad Blakeman
- John Bolton (Cruz adviser)
...

Number two on the neocons master list, who happens to be his top funder, was recently honored by America-First MAGA:

Miriam Adelson gave the GOP millions. Trump is giving her the Medal of Freedom.

Among the living recipients, Trump named Miriam Adelson, “a committed doctor, philanthropist, and humanitarian.” Some of the causes Adelson supports are “Jewish schools, Holocaust memorial organizations, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, and Birthright Israel.” The official statement doesn’t note, however, that Adelson and her husband billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson together are the largest donors to the Republican Party and Trump, forking over about $100 million to the GOP in 2018 alone.

Trump antagonizes GOP megadonor Adelson in heated phone call

Trump chided the Las Vegas mogul — a financial linchpin of his reelection effort — for not spending more. And now, he might not.

When President Donald Trump connected by phone last week with Republican megadonor Sheldon Adelson — perhaps the only person in the party who can cut a nine-figure check to aid his reelection — the phone call unexpectedly turned contentious.
The 87-year-old casino mogul had reached out to Trump to talk about the coronavirus relief bill and the economy. But then Trump brought the conversation around to the campaign and confronted Adelson about why he wasn’t doing more to bolster his reelection, according to three people with direct knowledge of the call. One of the people said it was apparent the president had no idea how much Adelson, who’s donated tens of millions of dollars to pro-Trump efforts over the years, had helped him. Adelson chose not to come back at Trump.

Rep. Peter Meijer has been tentatively added to the list. He is a fresh face on the media circuit, and displays all of the signs of being a MIC neocon shill. Apparently he filled the seat vacated by Justin Amash.

That's a big turnaround if so. As recently as the last election he was running on a foreign policy platform that was very critical of neoconservatism.
