The MONEYBOMB is ON! >>>FIRE AWAY>>>

Looks like about $61K as of 2:52 P.M. PST. 5:52 P.M. EST. How much advertising will this buy?

Send out those emails to friends and family. Got 2 more donating and will throw in more in a bit. Let's hit $2.6 Million tonight at least... WOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!

I think the problem is that people are becoming too comfortable so they are not donating. This is the worst his fundraising has been YET this the time where he has had the most support I have seen during the whole campaign. Weird.....

Two moneybombs in two months doesn't help.

Looks like he'll get 100K.

That's fairly successful being that it has been only a month from the previous one.

Normally it's three months between money bombs, and they end up getting around 200-300K.

I think this one is headed for 100K with 1 month in between.

Plus Rand Paul had a big sunday (about 10K) because people were donating early, and on Friday he brought in 30 or 40 thousand because people were donating early.

All in all that's pretty good.

I only got an email from Rand's Tea Party (and Ron and Rand) normally I get like 4 moneybomb emails from various lists.

Theres nothing to be disappointed about. This was a recently announced money bomb and most people are looking forward to the Hostettler one coming up soon. 71,000 is not bad at all.

Maybe by the end of the night he'll have 2.6 million. Or if not by the end of tonight then in next 1-2 days with aftershocks like we normally see.

I'm actually not sure whether this bomb was a good idea, sure Rand can still lose... but so can Hostettler. I figure having had this bomb like the 5th of may (one day after Lawsons and Hostettlers primaries) would have been better.

That's true. $31k Friday. $3k Sat. $8k Sun. $72,000 + Mon. Pretty damn good weekend.

The only poll out of Indiana was one that may have been paid for by a campaign (we don't know who paid for it.) Coats could be ahead by 20 points for all we know.

Also the Hostettler race won't have any bearing on the presidential race and the Ron Paul movement whereas Rand Paul's race will definitely have an impact.

If Rand wins, that will make Paul winning CPAC next year more significant. If he loses, then people might say Ron is unelectable again.

Also if Ron doesn't want to run in 2012, well then we could settle for Rand running.

I just think the KY race is much much more important than the Indiana race, and Hostettler's voting record, although good, isn't perfect anyway.

Guys, we're at $72,000 so far, and maybe we'll make it to $100,000 before the day's over. This is exceptional. No other liberty candidate could pull this off so close after a $300K moneybomb. "Worst moneybomb ever"? Not when you put this in context.

Paul DOES need more money though, that we agree on. Let's put our thinking caps on and figure out how to get it to him.

Maybe Peter Schiff can give him a loan? ;)

"Econ 102" is the course number for upper division undergraduate macro at San Jose State University. Perhaps you studied there? It's likely the number at several other colleges as well.

Haha, 'fraid not. It's just my attempt at a clever nickname. I was thinking more along the lines of "Economics 101, version 2.0" or something to that effect.

Let's hit $100,000 at the least, but shoot for $105,000 which is $2.6 Mill total!
