The Media Botched the Covington Catholic Story

I now fully concur, we would have been a thousand times better off with Hillary anointed as POTUS.
I disagree in the extreme.

Trump is our best chance at seeing the frog jump out of the pot because the heat is turned up too fast.
Whether or not he does what he should do he is driving the left to expose themselves and bring things to a boil.
If we get to see the country divided or have a civil war while we still have a fighting chance it will be because Trump was elected instead of Hitlery.

I think they would have done that anyways, and "we" would have been better organized and unified in opposition.

Who knows...we'll see how it all plays out.

Trump gives them someone to unite against and hate.

Exactly.

And who knows where Trump is at on anything at any given minute.

It would have been better to reverse the situation.

Now we get to look forward to Sanders/Warren.
They make more progress when they don't have someone to hate because they focus on making progress instead of hating, we made no progress under O'Bummer but our side is waking up because of TDS.

It is better that they are provoked into turning the heat up too fast.

The extreme radical left has exposed itself. Anyone that has any objectivity can see the bias hypocrisy. Trump has/is bringing this to a head. This started the day Clinton lost. I don't think it would have come to a head like this had Jeb Bush or Ted Cruz won. I honestly do not know how Trump can go on. He must live off of the controversy.

Neither do I.

I would have told the collective body politic to go fuck themselves and quit long ago.

I'm frankly amazed nobody has taken a shot at him yet.

And no, !Jeb! or Cruz would have been more of the same old same old.

But Hillary...the Bolsheviks would have been infighting about how white she is, but "we" would have been wound up and raising hell.

Lack of violent response?

My god man, people have called for these kids to burned alive in their homes, to be punched in the face, to thrown headfirst into woodchippers for flying $#@!'s sake. And the people doing this are not random internet weirdos or kooks on corner soapboxes, but people with influence and power and the ability to shape and form public opinion.

All for "weaponized smirking"?

Seriously?

Do you recall that incident in Florida a few years back, where a cop tased and arrested a kid for a "menacing stare". You now agree with that?

I'm sorry you think I'm now a "Trump Humper", but you're just flat wrong on this.

I will cede everybody this point, however.

(Gateway Pundit) – A team of very high profile lawyers are joining together to fight for justice for the Covington Catholic High School students who were ruthlessly attacked by the media following a school trip to DC for the March for Life.

According to lawyer Robert Barnes, who is representing several of the families, the team will include at least five lawyers from five different law firms — all with a record of high profile civil cases.

We cannot yet report the names of the lawyers who are joining forces — but we can assure you that you have heard of their cases.

When asked about who exactly they are planning to sue out of the hundreds of celebrities and journalists who defamed these boys, Barnes confirmed that former CNN host Reza Aslan, actor Michael Rapaport and ABC News senior political analyst anchor Matthew Dowd are on the list, “for starters.”

As long as he follows his masters agenda he is safe ,, regardless of the Circus antics ,,

The moment he fails to obey he will be removed.

I only hope for small good on the side... and that can happen with any of them.

You are blind then.

Nope.. I see Manipulated Youth being paraded in front of cameras. For purely political purpose.

I see a Media Circus devoid of any ethical honesty. and kids being used as tools,, or props.

In both instances there is an Obvious attempt to Divide and inflame.

They are pawns in political Games..Misinformed and mislead and used for that purpose. To misinform and mislead.

I suspect you are correct. The recent bump stock brouhaha serves as just one illustration of this.

Had such a thing been issued by a Hillary administration, we'd have heard naught but howling blue murder around here (and rightly so).

But it was issued by a Trump administration - so instead of the universal and unqualified condemnation it deserved (and would have otherwise received), we were instead treated to nth-degree chess-fu analyses that made no sense even on their own terms ... (not to mention absurdities such as "it's no big deal, because rubber bands" ...)

For quite a while now, it seems that most of the "steam" at RPFs is expended mostly or exclusively on the merry-go-round of attacking or defending the latest Trumpslanations. At some point, you have to wonder whether whatever meager benefit Trump's various head-fakes (real or imagined, smoothly chess-masterish or bumblingly drunken-monkeyish) might actually have is really worth it, even if you're a Trump fan ... (or, well, no, I guess you don't have to - but you probably should ...)

I have come to the conclusion, among numerous other conclusions recently, that no, it is not.

Whatever minor and fleeting victories that can be attributed to Trump, the downsides have not and will not be worth it.
