The “Litening” Network: Litecoin Support in LND

At the time of the writing of this blog post, SegWit is slated to activate on Litecoin within the next two weeks. As the lead developers of lnd this is extremely exciting for us! The activation of SegWit on Litecoin will serve as a proving and hardening ground for the Lightning Network until segwit activates on Bitcoin’s mainnet. And as Litecoin is very similar to Bitcoin, we can redirect our pre-production development efforts to Litecoin’s testnet without loss of generality for our ultimate launch on Bitcoin’s mainnet.

The eventual activation of segwit on Litecoin has many Layer 2 protocol developers modifying their codebases and testing infrastructure to target a preliminary launch on Litecoin.

Similarly, we are also extremely excited at the prospect of an initial production run of Lightning on Litecoin! The activation of segwit on Litecoin allows us to deploy Litecoin on an active production blockchain. With our ultimate launch, we’ll be able to examine monetary incentives within the network, observe the emergent properties of the networks’ channel graph, and see the rise of production services and applications built on top of the network.

This twitter user is seeing what he can turn 2 million USD into with crypto over a year, posting his trades.
If he gets enough of a following he could start affecting the markets with his tweets alone

Let's meet the richest man in crypto.

Jed McCaleb

Wait did he reveal he was satoshi?

No this guy, who founded MtGox, the exchange we all love so much, holds 9 billion ripples for a total of 2 billion and most of the lumen for a couple hundred mil.

He also wanted to crash ripple by selling them ferociously but he signed an agreement that says he can only start selling in vast quantities next year.

Quite a fella, the new king of crypto.

So lets all buy ripples and lumen because we want to make this guy rich and give power to the banks.

But seriously, this guy will sell 750 million ripple next year (i think the supply is like 20 billion not counting his and his co partner's stash). None of the banks have agreed they will use the ripple token for transactions, they just made deals with ripple the software company and price keeps going through the roof on news that ripple labs acquired a new customer

Ripple labs now owns over 60 billion ripples 😂

If I have this straight, the market is pretty much bidding on 18 billion ripples because 82 billion is still retained by ripple labs and the founders. This 18 billion amount is rising rapidly at 20% a year and then you have this founder who has incentive to see it crash because he is now working on a competitor.

Am I being factual here?

Ripple has sketchy as fuck feeling to me too. I actually did ride some from 40 to 45 but I felt dirty. Other than that I haven't messed with it. All in all the altcoin potatoes are too hot for me right here.

The whole market is absurd right now.

There's 50m USDT in circulation.
They're not printing any more right now.
Polo is by far the top altcoin exchange.
Polo has 2k usd value 24 hr withdrawal limits in any currency unless KYC process.
The altcoin market is over 20 billion USD; 10 tractor trailer trucks stacked to bump stops with $100 bills.
The bitcoin market is another 40 billion USD; 20 more tractor trailer trucks stacked.
There's not enough USDT to cover all that if panic ensues.

I see massive run on USDT is destiny.

1250 on first leg down
1050 on second leg down
500 in a flash crash run on USDT scenario

all the growth right now is in ripple

stellar is also pumping; but stellar is really just a ripple fork

personally in my gut I don't consider ripple a part of the bitcoin/altcoin asset class; I do have a side of me that is an "activist investor", ripple doesn't meet that calling. From my perspective its industrial grade scam.
