I used to trade for DASH on Cryptsy. Fortunately I keep most of my coins in my own wallet and I had already withdrawn about 85% of the amount I had on the exchange before they shut down, but still got burned on the remaining 15%. Almost certainly not going to recover it :/

Isn't Btc-e in Russia? Should we be transferring out of there to Coinbase?

I believe the owners are russian speaking, but the company is incorporated in cyprus, and the servers are in bulgaria. Someone please correct me.

I personally like to keep my bank split between exchanges. I like btce and finex primarily.

I didn't read all the way. But why would he say the blockchain has failed. Only 10 people run the whole thing.? wtf?

Maybe he just wants to buy cheap coin again :D

I can never figure out if these people are making legitimate arguments or whether they got butthurt from personal attacks and arguing in the online forums..

[h=1]Descending Broadening Right Angle[/h] You are here : Forex Learning Center > Level MEDIUM > Chart Patterns

The Descending Broadening Right Angle is a bullish reversal pattern. The pattern is formed by two diverging lines, the resistance being a horizontal line and the support a bearish slant. So it is a inverted ascending triangle. The oscillations between the two levels of the triangle are therefore becoming more and more important. Each line must be touched at least twice for validation.

The Descending Broadening Right Angle shows the growing nervousness of investors but also their indecisiveness. If the pattern is not identified quickly, the movement may seem totally random and thus trapping many investors.

The formation of this pattern should be preceded by a downward movement. Although one might think that this pattern is a reversal pattern due to its shape, it makes appear the weakness of sellers in the bearish movement that failed to pursuit.

The target price is given by plotting the height of the triangle at its start on the breakpoint. Another technique is to extend the maximum height of the triangle on the breakpoint

Here is a graphical representation of an Descending Broadening Right Angle :

Statistics

Here are some statistics about the Descending Broadening Right Angle :

- In 57% of cases, there is an upward exit
- In 90% of cases, the minimum target of this pattern is reached by taking the maximum height of the triangle. In case of a downward exit, the percentage drops to 70%.
- The failure rate is 6% (That is to say a horizontal exit)
- In 23% of case, there is a pullback in the case of an upward exit and 33% of cases in a downward exit.

Notes

- Continuation pattern

- The movement is much more important in case of an exit from the top

- The configurations that perform the most are those that are preceded by a big movement before the formation of the triangle.

- Bullish breakouts happen in 75% of cases when the price in the upper third of the annual range

- Pullbacks are bad for performance

Trading Strategies

The classic strategy:
Entry: Take a long position at the breakout of the resistance
Stop: The stop is placed below the resistance line
Target: Theoretical target of the pattern
Advantage: The target of the pattern is often reached (90% of cases) and pullbacks are not frequent
Disadvantage: -

The aggressive strategy (1):
Entry: Take a short position at the third contact with the support
Stop: The stop is placed below the last lowest
Target: Opposite band of the triangle
Advantage: The amplitude of the movement will be important in case of rebound towards the opposite band. The risk is low
Disadvantage: Downward breakouts occur in 33% of cases.

that dump was well planned imho. hearn sold his coins in december, but heading into the release of his blog statement XT got pushed aside for Bitcoin Classic and Cryptsy announced they were dead too. however that is not as damning this:

https://twitter.com/DJThistle01/status/686174710200020992

basically someone new what was up and a lot of old coins moved. add this to the admitted insider trading going via OKCoin and it is a real piss off for people like us. the last top 2 bitcoin foundation members quit and Decred was announced. for sure these are well timed news events that are meant to push price down after technical failures to break resistance.

trades moving forward: Short the rallies on major index's

BTC: is leaving a short term astrological downtrend on the 24/15th. of concern is all the talk of a hard for on bitcoin classic though. rumor has it for April.

Alts: so many poppin' off. i do not suggest garbage. but ETH and DASH are pumping and XMR is just starting. Outside of LTC, PPC, and NMC those 3 are pretty solid plays.

Former dev Mike Hearn FUD out there saying bitcoin has failed. Reuters and BBC are running wild with it.

And of course, the drama surrounding that and the block size debates are back again...we now have more players fighting for dominance...

Bitcoin Unlimited
Bitcoin NG
