All this is exactly and precisely why I say that if we are going to fetishize either document, then it should be the Declaration, not the Constitution.
The Declaration embodies and expresses the real principles of genuine liberty. The Constitution does not - it even quite explicitly and flagrantly contradicts those principles with its endorsements of federal "supremacy", its accommodations for the abomination of human chattel slavery, its erection of a multitude of offices from which to send hither swarms of Officers to harrass people and eat out their substance (file under, e.g., "Rebellion, Whiskey" - just for starters), etc., etc., etc.
"[M]en are [never going to be made] ready for that" by venerating and exalting the very blueprint from which their present oppression has been constructed.
We don't disagree. I'm just more interested in bringing as much of the American public on board as possible, and I don't have to fight over the Constitution itself so long as we are talking about abolishing and replacing it. Maybe we need something stronger than the AoC were, but weaker than the USC. Or maybe something else. But, clearly, the USC as it is, has failed in respect to securing our rights to life, liberty, property, etc. So, let's have a Con-Con and rewrite it from the foundations up, but let's not throw out all the lessons of the Founders... we've learned alot both about how power can be abused, as well as how the absence of power can be subverted -- in many ways, that's what Wokism is, the subversion of the vacuum of power. Men are not yet ready for full anarchy, so if we could draft a "from-scratch" document, it should state its own sunset date (like DOGE) and it should have as its explicit goal to be the training-wheels that prepare us for the next stage, where "next stage" explicitly excludes all the game-theoretic garbage by which the globalists, Marxists, etc. will be trying to subvert it from day one. It's wishful thinking at this point but, hey, it's Clown World... if men can be pregnant, then Constitutions can be rewritten from a blank page...
