"The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to purchase sixty Remington Model 870 Police RAMAC #24587 12 gauge pump-action shotguns for the Criminal Investigation Division. The Remington parkerized shotguns, with fourteen inch barrel, modified choke, Wilson Combat Ghost Ring rear sight and XS4 Contour Bead front sight, Knoxx Reduced Recoil Adjustable Stock, and Speedfeed ribbed black forend, are designated as the only shotguns authorized for IRS duty based on compatibility with IRS existing shotgun inventory, certified armorer and combat training and protocol, maintenance, and parts."

I thought Harry Reid said that Americans pay federal income taxes voluntarily? Why the need for the guns, then?

The IRS is Mafioso of the Federal Government... backed by the full thievery of CONgress and the corrupt Judicial system.

With fourteen inch barrels.
With fourteen inch barrels?
With fourteen inch barrels!
WTF?
One law for you and another law for me I suppose.

Why is 14in amazing?

18" is the shortest you and I can possess legally.
I would love to be able to possess an in the house weapon with a 14" barrel because it would be much easier and safer clearing from my back room to the other end of my house.
I assume that is the reason IRS CID will be using weapons with a 14" barrel.
4" makes a big difference.

You just bought a Mossberg didn't you?
Stand in a doorway with it and look how much of the barrel impedes you from sweeping the area of the doorway without exposing your barrel through the doorway.

Ruby Ridge happened because the man had a shotgun with a barrel 1/8 inch below the minimum 18 inches in length. Yes, with the minimum barrel length at 18", Randy Weaver at the direct request of a government informant, sawed off a shotgun barrel to the length if 17-7/8 inches, and thus got half of his family murdered by the ATF as a result.
