I have not been a supporter of the blimp and I'm still not but hearing Dr. Paul mentioning it with his infectious smile and laugh really has me thinking.
I was down right angered by some aspects of this project as I know others have been but perhaps I and others who share the same feelings should take this time to consider that this extravagant project seems to give Dr. Paul a good deal of personnel happiness and joy.
Nine years ago when I had my last drink I went through some difficult times and like to think I came out of that experience a better person. I found that I had to put my complete trust in God and to leave judgement of others to him alone. It's not always an easy thing to do but for myself it's something I must do or I risk a return to past transgressions.
So I'd ask others who share my reservations to this project and who might find it difficult to support due to the principles behind it to allow our higher power to take care of the unpleasing aspects of this project and to consider making this a Christmas or Holiday gift to Dr. Paul and all that he has taught us. The other things will be take care of themselves.
You sir, are a man of principal. My dad used to struggle with drinking, and he overcame it through the same process which you describe. I'm humbled by your wisdom.
