I was a republican with a libertarian streak, then I became an independent with a libertarian streak. I have now morphed into a libertarian anarchist. This is the reason why, in a country like ours if the majority of the population wants some form of democratic socialism then all they have to do is get a majority vote for candidates with the same political philosophy and whamo, you have europe in America........Large intrusive tax happy social program loving central government society. In this society you have a majority working for government, while a dwindling amount of private industry workers shoulder the tax burden.
I am simply amazed American's want to follow this path. Government does not produce real income or real assets. The government is like a mosquito, a parasite which feeds on its host for survival(pesky small little bastards). Now the mosquito is starting to get bigger then its host. This does not bode well for the host.
They don't hear communism. They don't think of Hitler, or Stalin, or Lenin when you say socialism, or socialist party. They hear- Big business is evil, we need to have the federal government heavily limit capitalism so that these big businesses don't rule us.
They hear, helping the poor, helpless, homeless. To each take as he needs, and to each give as he needs. They hear the rhetoric without thinking about the inevitable loss of freedoms inherent in a socialist/communist state.
If there is anyone who opposes the state for any reason (Like large numbers of Americans, because we like freedom, and self determination, getting paid for your job, and paying a fair price for something.) they are too dangerous to simply let them walk around speaking their mind.
Marxist type governments are reliant on complete assimilation, and cooperation. Viewing the state, or the whole as more important than the individual. And a small number of people who are not assimilated or cooperative are little more than a cancer, shaking things up and making life hard for everyone.
Not to mention that these societies inevitably fail because they do exactly what they were designed to elimination. They create two classes- the ruling class, and the working class. Which is worse than having rich, middle and poor classes. At least with our system, if your poor, and you hate the system, you have every right not to participate in it.
Not in a Marxist state.
Thats what I have the hardest time understanding. America's ideals of Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, it's original focus on individual freedom, and free trade is the best system because it's universal. If you don't like it, you are free to make up your own system, provided you don't violate anyone else's rights.
It's sad to see that the red scare was not an over reaction.
