The Senator then leaned into my face and said “Let me borrow a line from VP Dick Cheney - F.U.; get the F. out of my face and don’t talk to me.” (i.e. VP Cheney cursed Vt. Sen. Leahy on U.S. the Senate Floor, Tuesday, May 22, 2004).
...
When I disagreed, Chairman Aiona bizarrely stated “OK, how about if we both jump in my truck and drive over to his house and beat him up? Will that do it for you? Is that enough for you?”

There is another side to this story that many have neglected to share. Let me set the scene for readers to explain some of the "emotional" confrontations that occurred this past weekend. Prior to the Hawaii Republican Party State Convention, the Nevada Republican Party...

Sad...

Fight on bhraddahs.

Prior to the Hawaii Republican Party State Convention, the Nevada Republican Party held their own convention in which chaos ruled the day. Unruly behavior on the part of Ron Paul supporters forced Party officials to end their convention without completing Party business.

What?

Could it be a carefully orchestrated plan, infiltrate our movement with troublemakers and use their antics to discredit us? I know of no supporters in my MU's that would suggest or condone phone calls as the response implies;

Then, just weeks before the Hawaii Republican Party Convention commenced, many Party members received phone calls and emails from a group of Ron Paul supporters that claimed John McCain had cancer and therefore could not be President, that other local Party Officials had cancer and could not continue to serve, and that McCain supporters were actually communists.

I mean really, how many supporters have you all run into who would do/condone that?

Sounds unbelievable to me..

None in Louisiana.

This is a shock to us too!! We do not condone this type of tactic. This convention was suppose to be run in a manner where people could be heard. People figured (not all RP'rs) they would have a voice. Of course there will Pts of order raised when things were blatently being railroaded! C'mon...not having quorrum established??? Vote numbers not released? Mic's blocked? Even w/all this nonsense RP'rs I know would never stoop so low to doing such dumb phonecalls. We had better things to do w/our limited time!

I got this from someone today:

RP folks have been doing this in other states, by creating chaos. Their plan is to take over enough state delegations going to the national convention, have the state refrain from voting in the first two rounds of the convention, if mccain does not have enough votes, it is opened for open nomination from the floor of the convention where RP can be nominated by a simple majority of the delegates. Not the kind of morals I look for in a president, let alone a leader.

Just keep reading the Hawai'i reporter...it's open to all views of what went down.

Ask them to provide phone numbers of the offending callers and offer to track them down for them. Surely at least a few of these GOP people have caller ID? If they can't produce phone numbers, well...

And Dan's Report

It’s no secret that this event was scripted. There’s no problem with that. The problem is that the script was used by the Party leadership with the McCain campaign to influence the voting.

What a process for Mr. Pico, Jr. to be proud of.

Each and every Ron Paul supporter who participated has gained a world of experience in standing up to incredible odds. We were outnumbered four to one and I roughly estimate, out spent over a hundred to one. Our wits, skills and resourcefulness were not only tested by the Hawaii McCain campaign, but also the Hawaii Republican Party and RNC consultants.
I understand they were fearful of what happened at the Nevada convention where the Ron Paul supporters were the majority. They got really scared, went "Scarface" and ended up losing a lot of respect from many long time Republicans. With the experience gained we have the dignity of knowing we did our best for our convictions and earned the respect of many.

They can claim all they want but they don't have an audio recording..... until they show some proof they're lying.

..and get your tape recorder hooked up to your phone if you're a state delegate. The GOP will be calling you trying to find out if you support Paul... get it on Youtube.
