noun

1: an advocate of the doctrine of free will
2 a: a person who upholds the principles of individual liberty especially of thought and action b: capitalized : a member of a political party advocating libertarian principles

if you're going to define one, why not define the other? oh yeah, because when you read BOTH definitions, it's clear that libertarians are not anarchists. it's kind of funny that you thought that you could prove that they were synonymous in the first place.

I gave you to much credit I guess.

Govt and liberty as polar opposites, so you do the math.

so a candidate advocating liberty and running for the executive seat of government is a hypocrisy? then why are you supporting ron paul? you're further showing your idiocy with each reply you post.

ugh, Ron Paul is a Republican and he ran as a civil libertarian, which isnt in line with the purest libertarian. Borders, Pro-life, etc...

Cant you do your own research or must I tell you everything.

I am so pissed just called the campaign and all they will say is they know about it. I told the kid answering the phone "as a current supporter and donor I would be disappointed if he didn't take the opportunity" .... I got a sarcastic... ahhhhh ooookkkkk... That was it.

Awesome guys way to blow an opportunity to become mainstream and refuse information on it and hire jackasses from there parents basement with no social skills to anwser the phone. Great.

you said "liberty and govt are polar opposites" to make your case that libertarians are anarchists. so a person who continuously advocates liberty in speeches, debates, even on his website, and running for a government seat, the presidency, would be hypocritical.

the fact is that ron paul is and accepts that he is a small L libertarian and big R Republican. a "libertarian Republican," if you will. which is exactly what i stated. i didn't say he was a Libertarian.

btw, the abortion issue is split in the libertarian party, i happen to be a pro-life libertarian that has reregistered republican to vote for ron paul because of his belief in smaller government, personal liberty, and noninterventionist foreign policy.

So a little over 70% of us are concerned that they might be missing the boat on this. Any way we can get an official explanation for this stance?

As the days go by, it is increasingly clear that the ONLY way that we will win this is to ignore the official campaign and do it ourselves. Make no mistake: blind loyalty to "the campaign" makes about as much sense as keeping our troops in Iraq because it might get worse if we leave.

Dont call the campaign HQ, they have better things to do than listen to 10,000 people a day bitch about whatever issue has pissed them off at the moment.

yes, but the people arn't usally this vocal, we complain their so disorganized and backed up, but us overloading them with email is backing them up more than likely. Unless you want Ron Paul to have bloated staff, leave them some room to catch up.

My stand is let the campaign make campaign decisions.

I agree with you to a certain extent...

Let the campaign spend the money as they see fit... let the campaign strategize where to hold rallies, what primaries to focus on, etc.

BUT I don't see the logic in turning down a NATIONALLY TELEVISED 1-HOUR interview where you can reach millions of people and explain to them IN LENGTH what you're all about.

Sound-Bites is what kills our campaign, everyone calls us radical, crazy, etc... but when Paul speaks his mind in detail, outlines the root cause of our problems and the solution, it's impossible to ignore or refute.

So while I say let them strategize how they see fit, I'm really upset they're not taking these offers more seriously. I mean honestly, Glen Beck is not the sharpest tool in the shed. He's even the type of fellow who LIKES conspiracy theories if you ask me. He's not a sheep happy to go along with what government gives us, he's a truth-seeker and patriot just like us, that's just lost his way and is confused. This guy is easily convertible. 90% of what he talks about on his show he agrees with Paul. Even if after the show is said and done, and he doesn't agree with him on foreign policy, his audience may, and will have already agreed with him on the vast majority of other issues. So we really need to get Paul on the show ASAP.

no.

glen beck says more about glen beck than i ever could.

so, just gonna leave it at that.

once more for good measure:

no.

Glenn Beck is famous for hit jobs... we may very well see an hour of Beck yelling at Paul without letting Ron Paul talk.

If the campaign thought the few hundred thousand Glenn Beck viewrs were worth reaching they would be doing this. They obviously sense this is not worth thier time and I will honor their judgement.

God, this is old. How old is everyone here?

35.

Right now Ron Paul is not the most famous person in the world. For him the old addage "There is no such thing as bad publicity" still applies.

They have to take this opportunity. We can't afford to pass up this much free air time, regardless of how taxing it may be.
