The Free State Project | Who's interested?

I'm set to move there this summer. As soon as the kids are out of school here in FL.

My wife was hesitant at first because a New Hampshire winter is about two weeks longer than we are accustomed to in Chicago but my rebuttal was effective. "that just means two more weeks of cozying up to a fireplace."

New Hampshire is breathtakingly beautiful and the liberty activists are hard at work. I highly reccomend attending the Liberty Forum then a few extra days campaigning for Ron.

Are there any videos from last years forum?

Liberty Forum '07 trailer: http://youtube.com/watch?v=_9FgwBdaNTg

Closing Ceremony vid #1: Irena Goddard (yeah, my wife)
Closing Ceremony vid #2: Jason Sorens (the college professor who came up with the FSP idea in the first place)
Closing Ceremony #3: Don Gorman (former NH Libertarian State Rep, "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!" speech)

oh yeah.. and Closing Ceremony vid #4: Dr. Ron Paul!!!!http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9011609111379204433

I promise to move to N.H. and vote for Ron Paul in the N.H. primary if 2 others will make the move as well. Any takers?

I am strongly considering moving after I complete my college undergrad education In political science. Will I be able to find work in my field or in government?

Is it easy to meet liberty minded friends?

Um isn't your field and government the same thing?

I signed up for FSP. After looking it over and watching some video's of free staters and such on YouTube I think it is the thing for me. I plan on moving after the 2008 elections. :D

I am signed up and am going to move their once I can afford to do so. I hate my state, Illinois.

What areas/cities/counties in NH are the Free Staters focusing on?
All over. The idea is to get active and change the whole state. Keene seems to be very popular for Free State Project people to move to. Its a decent-sized city with many of the modern conveniences without the liberalism and police-state aspects of Concord and Manchester, which are influenced by their close proximity to Boston (lots of commuters live in New Hampshire and work in MA).

On the other hand, others prefer to live in the North end of the State, which is more rural and mountainous.

And still others like to live on the coastline, though the real estate prices are high.

I'm a signed member of the FSP, as is my wife. We'll be moving as soon as is humanly possible, regardless of what happens with RP's campaign. Even if he wins, we still need the Free State Project.

Yeah, we have people all over. City people are flocking to Manchester mostly (we have a GREAT bar there now!), water people are going to the Portsmouth area on the seacoast, and the "I wanna live in a college town" types are going to Keene mostly. All three areas are very active. NOt that it's been all FSPers work, but I'd say anywhere you go in southern NH (the far more populous area), the Ron Paul signs are outnumbering everyone else put together.

I would be interested if I wasn't a native Floridian - I think 65 degrees is freezing. I wouldn't last a day.
