The Devastating Truth Behind Obamacare

what was the point of this? To tell people we should be happy we can't afford health care and doctors? to encourage people to live in third world countries where medical attention is considered not a luxury, but a miracle?

So people who don't have healthcare coverage should be both happier and healthier, right?

Globalists are hell-bent in making sure this country is knocked down to third world status real soon. This ObamaCare just cinched it for them!

We cannot afford health care because of government interference in the first place. If this was truly a free market, the people would be the regulators and there would be competition and doctors would have the liberty to help people.

The bottom line is, this is all done by design. The only way it can be stopped is by people knowing the truth and standing up to this psychopathic elite who get a kick watching people die and to wield control of the rest of us.

I take it you are not planning on getting old and decrepit. Congratulatoins. Sometimes no matter how well you take care of yourself you can still end up getting sick or injured and have to go to see a doctor. Yes, taking better care can reduce the need to see a doctor but it certainly won't prevent it. On that note- should we require people to take care of themselves better so everybody can lower their healthcare costs (the healty subsidise the costs of those who aren't even without Obamacare) which run about 18% of our GDP today.

Then you ought to listen to this doctor.

Hey, what platforms? I started in the game programing world in the early 80's, atari 400/800, apple IIE and commodore 64 (yuck). Then went on to corporate programing. I play around with PC/XBox game programing some now (as a teaching tool for my son).

edit: have you looked at unity3D? here's a sample I did with it http://dl.dropbox.com/u/53961121/NukeDiplomacy5.zip Just unzip to new folder and run the application (make sure unzip uses the folder names in the zip).

I've done a bit of programming in my past but nothing overly complex. I feel my strengths are in writing, scenario design, and directing. Personally, I'd love to make games for 360/PS3; I can write the script and direct the cutscenes, just need a crew of people to handle the programing.

Perhaps if they didn't eat so much garbage food they wouldn't have needed to see a doctor

That is hardly what the writer meant by unnecessary or error, and if we took your word, we can't blame the medical system, can we?

You didn't answer me. You can rant after you answer my question, does the medical system really take credit for 220k deaths? If so, is the alternative to make it unavailable ? You seem to say that we should make medical care more affordable and accessible, how is that consistent with blaming it for unnecessary deaths?

Obamacare, among other things, makes insurers unable to deny based on preexisting conditions, and mandates that people buy healthcare, so I don't see how the article is accurate, I think the article has demonized the bill

Who would deny coverage when you free to charge what u want? Unless they know the patient can't pay, which would still be a win for the patient

Where did I say, "we should make medical care more affordable and accessible?" The system we have is one big gigantic monopoly. We have crony capitalist that run an overbearing, overburdened, overrated system. All designed to make you sick, poor and dependent on it.

Insurance companies wasted no time after the bill was passed to unearth a loophole that allowed them to deny coverage to children with pre-existing illnesses for the next four years,” writes Sahil Kapur for Raw Story.

Just graduated with a degree in biology...looking into medical school. Seriously considering just dropping the whole thing and starting a video game developer. :D

.

Don't do it! Stick with medicine. This whole ship is going down and medicine will be MUCH more useful in the coming underground economy than game design. Go to med school or become a naturopath. And focus on things that will be useful in an underground economy.

I am sincerely concerned on what is going to happen to patients suffering from non-curable chronic pain. Given the governments general attitude toward pain killers and their enforcement arm in the DEA, where does that leave those of us who responsibly manage their pain via the use of pain killers? I have arthritis due to 2 surgeries for ruptured discs (C4 & C5). I've tried plenty of treatments, over the counter, new medications (Lyrica turned me into a total zombie, all I wanted to do was sleep). NSAIDS don't agree with me. The pain I experience isn't debilitating, but it is persistent (it NEVER goes away). Over time it causes irritability, tiredness and to a certain degree depression. I finally found a doctor willing to work with me on pain killer usage. I take as little as possible to provide just enough relief that I can function without all the negative side affects.

I've been sincerely worried how the passage of Obamacare would affect my current treatment CHOICE.

You didn't, where did I say you did? But you did complain that "We cannot afford health care because of ....." and I am still not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

The system we have is one big gigantic monopoly.

Ok, I get that. So is that good or bad? Should we perpetuate the monopoly or break it? Why should we break it if we are not trying to make it "more accessible and affordable"? Can you just say what you want?

We have crony capitalist that run an overbearing, overburdened, overrated system. All designed to make you sick, poor and dependent on it.

Overburdened is not dependable, so it can't be designed to make you dependent, and overburdened at the same time. But I don't expect you to understand logic since you can't even tell me what you want.

Go back an re-read post #29 very, very slowly.

I don't think you get. I want a free market. I want no government interference. I want competition so the market can regulate itself.

Overburdened is not dependable, so it can't be designed to make you dependent, and overburdened at the same time. But I don't expect you to understand logic since you can't even tell me what you want.

The overburdened system is by-design from government. Allowing illegals welfare. Allowing so many people on welfare is a huge strain. To apply logic, of which you accuse me of not having, this entire thread proves that logic is not your corner.
