CNN has announced Santorum has called a news conference, and there is speculation he might be dropping out.

He just doesn't want to go through the embarrassment of losing his own State; which is very possible.

ahhh crap... there goes the brokered convention...

He did his job of taking votes from RP though... fck...

MSM will use this as a way to attack RP

"well santorum dropped out, dont you think its time you also dropped out Mr Paul?

Ron Paul should immediately say

"Well, ya know, Santorum hasn't pulled the amount of people I do in one rally that he did in his ENTIRE run"

Is this good or bad for us? Santorum wasn't on the DC ballot and Mitt gained 30%, Grinch stayed at 11% and we gained 3% as compared to MD results where he was on the ballot. So I'm thinking it's bad for us. This may kill a brokered convention.

I am curious to know what Ron Paul will say he is going to do now that this has happened.

He'll still be on the ballot (wherever he managed to be on it) so that will still bring votes to him.
People will still be looking for the anti-Romney.
Ron Paul is playing ads - proving he's STILL in the race despite what the media says.

Caucus states still rely on dedicated supporters - this lets the air out of Santo's supporters and may let Mitt's supporters get lazy and overconfident - so in my mind it is a great boost for us for caucuses.

Wolf Blitzer just said Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich are both going to stay in the race; but they will not be able to prevent Romney from getting the delegate total he needs.
