The convention results are sound evidence of the differences in the McMahon and Schiff campaigns. I saw McMahon's first speech, which was horrible. I have watched her evolve into a Senator caliber candidate. Her campaign is amazing.
There is no question she is an empty suit but that doesn't matter. Peter needs to step up his campaign considerably if he is going to win. Don't forget, Tray Grayson is not Linda McMahon and did not have her resources.
The party officials lining up for Linda are wowed by the money she could bring, but the average primary voter will make a decision based on the quality of the candidates.
Maybe she can drown Schiff in media buys, but I don't think Schiff would get single percentages in the open primary. The convention was a stacked deck.

Don't forget that Linda came from nowhere. She was NOT the party candidate. Rob Simmons was by a large margin. Linda wowed those delegates through a highly aggressive, well worded and constant campaign.
The point is that Peter's campaign needs to be managed at a level closer to Linda's. Linda McMahon did not win that convention, her campaign did.
This is constructive criticism from a guy who went the party route for change. Having had significant exposure the difference in campaigns is obvious to me.
Since the beginning of May the area contact for Linda sent me 20 campaign announcements demonstrating her support at the convention. I received 5 messages from Peter Schiff but none of them demonstrated his level of support and every one of them was a fundraising letter.
I don't mean this to be a bash or a downer, it's an issue that needs to be addressed before the million dollar handlers for McMahon run roughshod over the primary.
