I wish I could do more but all I can do as of now is wish their family luck and hope that they find their way to safety.

Hopefully they planned their escapade a bit better than most seem to do, and built up a support system *before* they tied up granny
 
I wonder if there is a militia willing to put these people up and keep the government out of their life. Probably not, even the back yard patriots are loath to pick fights with the government. It's sad. I would like to see some organized push back by a militia group but that is a very rare thing.

Yeah. :( The trouble with starting a militia expressly to keep the gov't at bay is that the government can easily outspend everyone in the country put together on offensive toys. So, you citizens better put up with Uncle Sam or he'll light your ass up. This is one of the many great weaknesses in the Constitution.

Also, not everyone in a militia will be willing to stand up to the government on every issue. A lot of militia men are pretty statist by our standards, and they would probably want to organize against the parents in the OP. It would be nice to have to government back down on something.
 
I am physically ill for these people...imagine, on the run with your two little children, the entire length and breadth of Leviathan's forces looking to smoke you to the ground...

All for the crime of exercising your right to free speech and to raise your children.
