The Ammo Shortage Continues

same here.

i can't ever find any WWB in .45 or .223. walmart only ever has it in 9mm and .40

My Walmarts have been as full of ammo as Ive seen in a long time lately.

One RPF member helped start this ammunition websearch website.

ammoseek.com

I don't remember who it was, but I've used it and I like it. You can search for the ammunition you want, and price compare, then you can go to the website that is selling that ammo.

The ammo shortage continues in California as well, but I was able to order a whole mess of .45ACP for less than what they used to cost around here (currently they are jacked up).

Of course by this time next year ordering online will be illegal in California.

Sorry guys, I didn't know all of you needed .45 ACP ammo that bad.

Sell it to you for $1 a round. :D

*is glad one of the local guns stores is owned by a former Federal Ammo employee*

forget .45. How about trying to find 380 in stock in a local store.

I can easily get .223 at walmart but they have not had .45 acp in over a year. I can get pretty much anything I want from local stores though they are still overpriced.

I was at Gander Mountain in Greensboro about a month ago and they had a sign above the ammo shelf that said "limit 1 box of .380 per customer". Apparently it didn't help because they were still sold out.

here in my town when everything was out of stock(can get anything now) the only pistol ammo that was in stock was .357sig i want to get a sig barrel for my M&P40 if there ever an emergency i will have access to that ammo easier id think

Not here in NY!
Yeah, some handgun calibers are tough to find right now - .38 special is the top runner according to the Lodge Guy at Dick'sSG... they sell out as soon as they get it...

but other than that, 12ga. and 20ga. 100 round packs are getting eatin up pretty fast (for 24.99/box, why not?). Their .223 is pretty well sold, but they still have about 300 rounds at a time to clean out if ya so choose. Other than that we're doing ok on .308; seems a lot of people don't shoot the 150 grains, but the 180s can be tough one week out of the month.

It seems to me, New Yorkers are still scared of guns. Good. I can keep shooting lots:)

I would also suppose many more are waking up to the situation day by day, also. I have a feeling that's why their Tactical/Home Defense shotguns are selling like hotcakes here in Rochester.

My local gun shop has a framed picture of Obama with "gun salesman of the year" underneath.:D

just order it online. I often get better buys online. My local Wal-Mart is often out of handgun ammo in most all calibers except 9mm. I find regardless of sales and such, they definitely have the best prices for shotgun slugs.

If you lived closer, I would sell you a few thousand rounds of .45 ACP, as I have lots but am in the process of selling off my guns for that caliber.
