the baby boomers...the ones who out number everyone...

but yea...the point is I cannot get them to listen for 3 minutes without turning into zombie nodders..seems like the really old crowd gets it more than they do.

Any suggestions, links, materials, whatever would be thankful.

Oh, yes, they certainly do as a general rule (though technically I fit your definition of Boomer, which extends nearly five years longer than it used to--I used to be GenX). The seniors know what a mess the boomers made of things.

I don't know how to reach them. If anything will work, though, it might just be this. Listen to the 'One generation got old. One generation got sold. This generation got no destination to hold' lyric. In the face of the OWS protests, that might just wake a Boomer or two up to just how badly they screwed up their alleged attempt to fix things. Maybe.

Of course, some weren't so politically aware back then--or just weren't Airplane fans...

What are they listening to? Did you ask what each of them care about?

People my age actually engage in conversation. They don't just sit back and wait for the talking head in the box to clue them in. Come across as the talking head in the box with a message to deliver and they'll change channels on you.

Perhaps you should be the one doing the listening, at least at first. What are their biggest concerns? What do they want for their country? For their grandchildren? Based on that, what do they want from the next president?

Then it may, just may, be time for them to listen. Or you may still need another question or two to know where you need to go.

Virtually a lost cause....unfortunately. This is a tough nut to crack, been propagandized by the MSM for a loooooong time.
