Texas State Convention Live Stream

thank you!

fun tweet apropos of nothing:

Could Mr. Bernanke be shivering? His voice is undoubtedly quivering - What is a cause? His policy flaws? Or is it the lies he's delivering?

Anyone have a tube of this one yet? Sounds like it was one not to miss!

it was a joy, particularly given that it was down on the agenda as: “Uniting Republicans and Balancing the Federal Budget.”. Someone is working on the tube.

Most of us here at the Convention missed Ron Paul speak. They scheduled his speech in the middle of the first SD caucus sessions. Biggest thing we got done today was unseating several Temp Rules folks, and replacing them. Lots of RP Alternates getting seated, as many delegates didn't come across the board. The Convention has had very low turnout. Over 3k Delegates registered, and over 790 something Alternates registered.

Ron is coming up soon on the Suri livestream again after Jordan Page for his speech to the Liberty Festival. The livestream doesn't work well with the bass in the music but was great before for Ron's speech and I hope it will be again, when he comes on. The sound system isn't as good here, though, to be honest.

here is the livestream: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/suriyahfish

A lot of the sd meetings ran late. I missed the whole thing. TUUUUBE!

Loved it!!! The crowd went WILD when he talked about winning the "war" because he said it so passionately. He's generally dispassionate in his manner of speaking and that really got the crowd on their feet ... pretty sure that's when they started chanting, "President Paul!"

Edit - I said I loved it, but that just doesn't do it justice -- it was an EPIC speech, it really, truly was an EPIC speech.

Ours ran until about 1550, so it was funny when the SD chairman mentioned adjournment and everybody started high-tailing it out the door to get to the arena! :D

It was a fantastic speech with many moments that gave me thrill chills.

He's so gutsy. He seemed more on fire than ever about ending the wars, stopping the drones, and dismantling the fed. But the key point of the message is that there will only be unity when people stop trying to dictate the actions and beliefs of others through political means.

I love that there was a good portion of the audience sitting sour-faced. Some looked as though they were doubly mad because they were trying so hard to disagree with what he was saying, to no avail.

That was an AMAZING speech. I forgot how thrilling it is for me to hear thousands of patriots chanting "END THE FED!" It gives me the chills every time. But let's be honest here, Ron just lost his prime time speaking slot at the RNC. Could you imagine Dr. Ron Paul speaking at prime time at the RNC and saying things like we have to unite around the "right things". Neo-con heads would explode... and pundits, oh god the pundits...

on the rules discussion today, there were tweets saying there was a challenge to Rule 33 but it was voted down, but there was going to be a minority report. It sounded like the tweeters thought it was significant. I thought since you were there you might know what they were talking about.

This issue has been resolved by the permanent committee, delegates are now allowed to record all meetings.
