Biblical verse tweet by Texas governor is causing a storm:

Lt Gov Dan Patrick Faces Backlash for Bible Verse Tweet After Attack at Orlando Gay Club

Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 01:45 PM EDT

Texas Lieutenant Gov. Dan Patrick is facing a backlash after a tweet was sent from his Twitter account Sunday morning quoting a verse from the Bible hours after the mass shooting at a Florida gay nightclub.

At around 7 a.m. Patrick's account tweeted a photo with the words of Galatians 6:7. The verse reads, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows."
A tweet sent out on the same account an hour later also referenced a Bible verse from Psalm 37:39.

It read, "The Salvation of the righteous come from the Lord; He is their stronghold in time of trouble."

Dan Patrick only plays the part of a social-con. He is a politician who will say anything for power, he will become liberal if the electorate does.

Isn't it interesting how on the one hand some folks will say there is nothing wrong with what they are doing. And on the other hand the same people throw a fit about any mention of sin and assume it is directed at them?

isn't it interesting how we have an incident where a muslim kills a bunch of gays and yet people seem intent on somehow making it about and/or getting mad at Christians over it, even here on rpfs.

Oh,, I just wait for these moral superiority folks to get caught with some little boys cum on their shirt.

This ain't about religion.. despite those that like to use it.

I agree that it would be unwise to mock God .

Agreed.

The Flying Spaghetti Monster will have his vengeance on all who do not believe in Him.

It's time some of you people get right with GOD!*

*If it turns out that the FSM is not "the one true God," and God is actually Zeus or Odin or the Christian God or the Great Turtle or Allah or Yahweh or (insert any of a thousand or more "Gods" man has believed in at one time or another), please disregard the above.

Billy Graham avoided the bad timing by few days or there would have been major backlash against him.

Billy Graham: 'The Days of Noah' Are Returning to Earth

Christian Post-Jun 1, 2016
The Baptist minister points to Genesis 6:5, which warns that God's "great Day of Judgment" will come just as the floods came during Noah's time ...

I don't get this. Are people interpreting him to mean that the yesterday's murder victims deserved it?

It's not like the tweet really suggests that. Why would anyone jump to that conclusion?
