I suspect you may be right - seems like gratuitous fear peddling - unnecessary here, given the reality. But Japan has verily fucked the world in real ways here - I am dead serious when I say the entire board of Tepco should be publicly executed by hanging, drawn up slowly so they strangulate rather than fast and easy with a broken neck. What they have done is abominable in the most starkly pronounced terms. They have destroyed millions, perhaps tens of millions or more lives in ways that could be argued will make much of what Mao did seen humane by comparison. That they have lollygagged for 2 1/2 years at this - for what? For the stupid Asian cultural idea of saving face? Well thanks, assholes. Jerk-offs.
