You got an O.K. deal. Why did you decide to purchase silver so late (never too late though)?
Tulving has them for $1.19 over spot with free shipping/insurance (as of this post, that's $14.71/Oz), but they have a 500 Oz minimum.
IMO, anyone who trades paper with some ink on it for 80 Oz of .999 silver did not get ripped off.
Just hang on tightly...soon enough you'll see what I mean.

you got a good deal in my opinion. you probably can't get them anywhere for cheaper unless u buy 1000oz bars

I can do you one better. There was a man at an auction in northern Maryland about five years ago who bought a nineteenth century trunk that was locked. There was a small crowd there and the trunk was dirty and and the metal hinges and locks were rusty. The auctioneer tried to move the trunk when he got to it but did not have a lot of luck. He announced that the trunk and contents would be sold together since they could not get it open or move it with ease. To make a long story short, the trunk was sold for $10. The owner, an antiques dealer, went to his van and brought some tools in and opened the trunk to clear it out so he could move it easily. When he opened it you heard him scream "oh my God" and he quickly pulled out a battle worn Confederate battle flag. Under the flag was a Union uniform jacket with two colt pistols. Under that was a wide variety of coins (including many gold and silver pieces) numbering about 300 coins in all and under that were about 20 coin silver bars. He sold all of the items at other auctions houses. He even refinished the trunk and sold it for $600. He is now totally retired

You didn't get ripped off - - sounds like a pretty good deal to me!!
The only other (and this is very much open to debate) possible option I'm aware of would be to check out Apmex.com (If you don't mind waiting a week or so for the order to ship) since they're offering 1oz silver "Buffalo Rounds" at around $15.34 each (at the time I'm writing this), with a 3 percent discount for cash payments. You bought 8 bars at 10oz each, totaling 80 ounces.
Eighty Buffalo rounds at 15.34 would equal 1227.20, minus 36.81 assuming a cash payment, but they charge 24.95 for shipping for orders over $1,000, bringing the total to 1215.34. (I've ordered from them in the past with no problems, and when I ordered, their shipping included registered mail and insurance for the purchase price.)

Personally, my favorite "stock up" item in silver are old silver dollars. I'm not in them for "collector's value" so I don't particularly care about pristine condition. Instead, I'm guessing they're going to be a bit more recognizable than silver ingots or bars if it ever comes time to trade them with someone who isn't all that familiar with silver bullion.
