I don't like Ted Cruz either, but it seems like the people on here who are calling him out are the same people who are letting Rand Paul slide. Why is Rand "just playing the game", but Ted Cruz isn't?

I would argue they are both playing a game, and personally I don't want to be a part of either game.

Cruz's "game" seems to be more about fooling the base than the old guard.

He'll be a tough opponent come primary time (if his eligibility is truly legit). Superb speaker with a truckload of red meat. Unfortunately there are plenty of voters who won't be bothered by his hawkishness.
