I heard his rhetoric on the idiot box slamming Trump for suggesting the UK/US leave NATO.

So Cruz is a big NATO supporter. Finally showing where his true allegiance lies.

the U.K right now is hotly debating whether to leave the E.U as they

are trying to coax Scotland not to totally bolt away from the U.K

i think they'd be rather surprised if we pulled out of NATO tomorrow

It's weird...

Sometimes it seems like people think there's some sort of fight in these forums between Trump and Cruz.

As if to disparage one, you must support the other. I think most of us agree that they both suck. Are we really trying to measure which one sucks worse?

I am not surprised. Just john kasich who also backs NATO, NATO basically screwed up Libya and here we the biggest backers of them. Still supporting them.

Sometimes I really do try to figure out who is worse. It's honestly a tough call.

True, but I hate deception. At least with Trump, you know what you're going to get. Cruz is painting himself as this champion of liberty, and it really grinds my gears.

Do you? I'm not sure at this point if Trump supports the H1B visa or not because he keeps flip flopping on that. His immigration plan, deport them all then bring back the good ones "rapidly" through a "big beautiful door" in the wall that Mexico is going to pay for is really amnesty, yet he's supposedly against Amnesty. He supposedly was against the war in Iraq from the beginning (no proof of that) yet he advocated that we send troops into Libya to overthrow Khaddafi (basically the Hillary Clinton plan) and ultimately said that Hillary Clinton was the best secretary of state ever. So....why do you not see any deception in Trump? Oh yeah, and the Trump campaign keeps knocking Ted Cruz for being married to a member of the CFR, but Trump secretly met with Richard Haas the head of the CFR (Rand Paul did not do that), and Trump named Richard Haas as someone he would go to for advice on foreign policy. Lot's of deception in Trumpville. He's just so politically incorrect that people don't notice it apparently.

Trump actually supported the war in Iraq before it started.

He now says he opposed Obama's withdrawal from Iraq.

Which leads me to conclude that if Trump were President from 2001-2016, we would:
a) have went into Iraq
b) still be in pretty much a full-blown ground war in Iraq

That is a record that makes the combined tenure of Bush and Obama actually look more non-interventionist in comparison.

Raimondo and all these other so-called noninterventionists like Scheuer are embarrassing themselves.

Yeah Cruz is fake it is beyond obvious. The way he talks with fake sincerity|concern in his voice.I don't blame people tho for being fooled all others sound the same except Rand, Trump and Christie.

So you think Trump is more acceptable because his fakeness is less obvious? When he talks about executing Snowden is that an act? When he talked about supporting the war in Iraq and opposing withdrawal, was that all an act? How about his big beautiful amnesty door? Is that an act too? Was he just faking running 3rd party if Ron Paul got the nomination? How about threatening unfeasible 45% tariffs? For someone who claims to be such a great deal-maker you would have to think it would be an act for him to use something as a bluff that you know he has no way to back up.

Trump would be much more appealing to me if I knew he was a fake. Mainly because his policies are absolute trash, and just as bad or worse than those belonging to any other candidate in the race.

What I meant was, you would get an unstable mess.
