I think that was his father he was hugging, and having known people like this, he could have been intentionally getting back at his own wife - for calling him and his father immigrants earlier in the week in the media. Maybe he thought no one would notice or no one would think he did it on purpose.

It's a lot like when Carly fell, and Cruz didn't care at all. At least he didn't cause that one.
