Teacher arrested for novel

yep...lawyers lining up as we speak...
lawyers, courts, laws have no power over psychiatry. The guy has already been "tranquilized" with powerful mind altering chemicals. Any resistance he puts up will be seen as evidence of his "mental illness".

Stephen King, writing as Richard Bachmann, wrote about flying planes into buildings to blow them up, "The Running Man" and about a school shooting, "Rage".

An alias, terroristic thoughts and a school shooting.

Arrest him.

Carrie may use psychic powers, but it is all about a girl who has been abused and isolated her entire life lashing out and killing everyone in her school and a large portion of her town.

Yes, that's what I was thinking about, "Rage."

I think he pulled it from production or something because it became too controversial. Apparently that was a very good decision.

It was published, looking at my copy on the bookshelf right now.

He has let go out of print, due to it being tied to couple of real school shootings.

But it is still easy to find, millions were published:

Nice shape, first print collection paperback, this is the one I have, for $5.00

Since when has it been a crime to write a book?

It is not a crime to write a book. He is not being charged with writing a book. He'll, I do not even see him charged.
newbitech seem pretty spot on. This is in the realm of assets on trial.

So they can just kidnap people and hold them against their will, without even charging them or going to trial. This world needs a reset.

Just speeding along on the super highway of fascism and police state. You see that in the rear view mirror? Yup that's China!!

With the job thing, I know on most of the job applications I've seen, I am asked for any previous names that I'm used, so if he failed to list his other legal alias, that could be grounds for termination, depending on his union contract. But there is nothing in that article that gives any legal reason for the police to be involved, I'm guessing there is more to that story then is being told.

Thanks, just ordered a used copy off amazon. The wife has been bugging me to read some Stephen king, she's a fan.

Enjoy. The Running Man is worth the price of that book by itself. Nothing at all like the cheesy 80s movie with Ah-Nold and Jesse Ventura.

I've been reading his work for almost 40 years now.

It's fun, mostly the literary equivalent of a Big Mac and fries, (his own description) but some of his work is truly outstanding.

Top Five picks for me:

The Stand (full and unabridged version).

The Dark Tower series.

Different Seasons - Four short "novellas" including "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption", one of the best short stories written since O. Henry.

The Shining.

Misery.

You're damned right it is not. Looking at past history vs. current I weep. It's not a union of colonies anymore. And will never be again. Fucking weep for what once was.

What scares me is that barring miraculous advances in space travel there is nowhere else to go. 300 years ago America was too new and unsettled for the central bankers and globalists to have sunk their filthy claws into it yet, so it was an easy escape from the resulting slavery.

That's almost neg rep worthy. The Running Man is probably better than any movie made during the 21st century.

In the same introduction King describes Ben Richards as "scrawny" and "pre-tubercular". He observes that Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played Ben Richards in the film adaptation of The Running Man, portrayed the character very differently than he wrote about him in the book, saying that Richards (in the book) was "as far away from the Arnold Schwarzenegger character in the movie as you can get."

Uhhh, yeah, right, sure it is...
