I've had my Taurus Judge Public Defender for over a year and I really like it. In fact it is my favorite gun I have ever owned. This pistol gets a lot of hate online from all the internet experts.

I like to have it on me when I'm outside clearing piles. I also like it for critter control. I always have it loaded with 410.

# 4 I could see , maybe #6 but Im guessing in 7 1/2 , or especially 8 or 9 I may want a bit more stopping power
I'm using birdshot because it is the cheapest shell I could find. I'm outside moving old piles of wood around. I'm not worried about larger critters. My main concern are snakes.
Normally when I have the gun in storage in my house locked away. It is loaded with 45 Long Colt

Ya Id guess 7 1/2 are good for venom creatures

Just ordered a budget Taurus GX2 the other day, $260 taxes included.... never owned a Taurus before and this one is on it's way, ever have any Taurus problems?

A week ago, I purchased a little Ruger LCP 380 ($195 includes shipping and taxes). Got the ammo today and of course it wouldn't eject properly at times. Took it apart and did some light polishing with a 600 grit. Waiting on the 13 lb recoil spring, comes with a 9, a stainless steel recoil guide pin and some cleaning and oiling compound

No problems with the Taurus so far

The failure to eject might be user error. Keep a firm grip and control the recoil, if the energy goes into your wrist instead of the slide, it can fail to eject. Alternately try different ammunition and find something that works better for you

Gun works fine for me

It's hanging on the feed ramp. I haven't shot it yet
It works a lot better when I use the right hand on the slide. When the other parts get here I'll update

Got the 13 lb recoil spring set and the stainless steel recoil guide pin installed. I don't think the pin helps the reload but that it's a better long term pin.

Seems to rack easier. When I decide to clean, de-oil and oil it, I'll update again. Plus when I shoot it a decent amount I'll update.
