Syrian Army captures first village from Turkish-backed rebels on the outskirts of al-Bab

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is on the verge of direct military conflict with the Turkish Armed Forces in Aleppo province
after Syrian government troops seized a village from Turkish supported rebel forces on Monday evening.

SYRIAN NATIONAL RESISTANCE (SNR) FORMED
Pushing eastwards from a batch of recently captured villages on the outskirts of Aleppo city,
the SAA's Republican Guard and the newly formed 'Syrian National Resistance' (SNR)
were able to wrestle control of Azraq village,
thus advancing the SAA's forward units to positions just five kilometers from al-Bab city.

The SNR is formed out of the 'Kafr Saghir Martyrs Brigade',
a predominately Kurdish pro-government unit
which spearheaded the capture of Aleppo Infantry School exactly one month ago.

Notably, the SNR is a key player in improving regional relations
between the SAA and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Main goals:

1) Settling the disputes between the Syrian components and reunion their energies
to build a democratic and an United Syria which is achieve the ambitions and bring the rights of the Syrians
2) Resisting the Turkish occupation and repel them from achieving its goals
and regain all of the Syrian lands from it from Jarabulus till Iskandarun
3) Working in the future with all of the Syrian forces to liberate every occupied inch in Syria

18,000 civilians exit rebel-held Aleppo, 647 insurgents surrender themselves to the Syrian Army

Over the past week, more than 18,000 residents have escaped eastern Aleppo
to seek safety in government-held neighbourhoods
while a total of 647 rebel fighters have turned themselves in to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA),
according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.
Thousands more fled into Kurdish custody at the Sheikh Maqsoud district.

The vast majority of the militants have been granted amnesty and will not face prosecution.
However, a few dozen fighters are still detained by Syrian authorities
over security concerns and will be interrogated.

Meanwhile, Moscow sent its elite Russian sappers from Palmyra to Aleppo

Russia, Turkey agree to give jihadists 24 hours to leave east Aleppo: report

BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:15 P.M.) - Russia and Turkey reportedly agreed on Friday
to give the jihadist rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Nusra Front)
24 hours to leave east Aleppo through the humanitarian corridor setup by the Russian military.

According to the Russian media, Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham
has 24 hours to leave east Aleppo;
if they refuse to do so,
then they will show no mercy to the 900 remaining jihadists combatting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

No further details were released.

If this story proves true,
this will be the first time during this war that Turkey
has refrained from aiding jihadist rebel groups

The Turkish Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) decided Friday
to convert all of its cash assets into Turkish lira
following President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's call to support the declining Turkish currency against the US dollar.

The announcement came hours after Borsa Istanbul
said it converted all cash reserves into Turkish lira
and will keep them in Turkish Lira deposits as of Dec. 2, 2016.

That could the kiss of death as far as Washington is concerned.

It's similar to what Russia/Putin did to fight off the attack on the ruble.
They have to prevent the domestic 'dumping' of the lira
and prevent capital flight out of the country.
As long as the 'local' economy keeps transacting in Lira
everything INTERNALLY remains (relatively) stable... inflation creep on imports.
but..
EXTERNALLY... much depends on their capital reserves... which are NOT that strong.
Russia's were much stronger.

In addition...
Russia made demands on their international and business traders
to transact payments and contracts using the ruble and NOT the dollar.
Also they put in place government OVERSIGHT (in EVERY BANK)'
as literal 'watchdogs' on capital flows OUT of the Country...
demanding a 'damn good reason' for such transfers.
It worked... and the attack was thwarted.

Erdogan's a nutjob... but they're not COMPLETELY stupid.
They see the writing on the walls.
We will wait and see...
