The whole show was pretty crappy, relatively speaking, but that bit with Edward Stringham was certainly a low point. I wouldn't even say Stringham used a Hayek quote to "make a point"...he used a Hayek quote to take a cheap shot at Ron Paul when no one was there to defend the good doctor. Lame.

I have to confess, I listen to NPR. Mostly just to raise my blood pressure. I was listening to some political segment today (or maybe yesterday, I can't keep track of anything) and they were talking about N. Korea and what happens after Kim what's his name has died. A caller asked what happens if Ron Paul becomes President and he removes US forces. The minute the guy says something about the possibility of Ron being elected you could hear the jackasses in the background snickering just at the sound of his name. I wanted to strangle the fuckers. Naturally, they discounted any possibility that Ron could ever be elected and insinuated that anyone who thought so was an idiot. And, of course, a Ron Paul Presidency would be a horror for foreign policy. The horror of peace and prosperity and not having an empire dominating the world.

Ron has actually thrown the Judge's name out there when asked about possible VPs. That said, IMO he would be a horrible choice from a pragmatic standpoint. The entire point is to expand the base.
