Swedish journalist reports: Romney smells of popcorn

The biggest and most widely read Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has sent the journalist Per Bjurman to Iowa to write about the Iowa Caucus. In his first post of his election blog he mentions, among many other things) that he lives in the same hotel as presidential candidate Mitt Romney and after sharing an elevator with Romney he noticed that he smelled of popcorn.

I don't know what to make of that. Is he so sure about winning that he thinks he can afford taking time out to eat popcorn? And eat so much of it that the popcorn smell fills the elevator? Should we be worried?

I was going to go more along the lines that he most be getting some of that kind killer popcorn bud. I think for the most part it is grown in Iowa and maybe available to convert to biofuel if they can get some federal money to develop it.

Ok... not sure if it's popcorn or cocaine,

but popcorn has a very strong scent. even the slightest heating of it will air the smell throughout the entire building. It is entirely possible that mitt romney was eating popcorn but that is no indication that he is so sure of himself, b/c popcorn is a very fast-food sort of thing.

Just to clarify: popcorn does not in any way that I know of mean cocaine or any other thing than popcorn. popcorn is corn that has popped.

In the new update he states, just as joelmatton wrote, that the Ron Paul supporters are the most dedicated and that Ron Paul supporters with signs are totally dominating.

Sounds pretty good! Can't wait until we see some results...
