Sweden Is Burning: Migrant Gangs Unleash Coordinated Fire-Bomb Rampage Across Multiple Cities

We have an update on the situation.

The Swedish police spokeswoman Ulla Brehm says that they have DECIDED to NOT arrest anyone over the riots last night.

Instead they have identified them and will be talking with their families.

"or else what?"

“They were organized and prepared,” Brehm said, according to Reuters. No injuries were reported, but photos show that many cars were destroyed. On Tuesday, police said they had arrested a 16-year-old and 21-year-old in relation to Monday’s attacks and planned to detain more suspects over the course of the day.

But when it comes to intentionally setting fire to cars, said Manne Gerell, a lecturer in criminology at Sweden’s Malmo University, such incidents have increased “big-time” over the past couple decades — but not in the past two or so years. Across Sweden, he said, about 1,500 cars are burned each year. The reasons can include insurance fraud, hiding other crimes, social unrest and “random youth vandalism,” he said.

In 2013, days of riots broke out in the capital of Stockholm after police were accused of brutality for shooting and killing a 69-year-old man who was holding a machete. For days, rioters burned cars and buildings, including at least one school. They also threw rocks at police.

For now, what seems to be missing in this week’s case is a clear motive.

“When we have widespread incidents of torched cars, it’s usually related to social unrest,” Gerell said. This time, “it’s nothing concrete."

In early 2017, riots broke out in a largely immigrant neighborhood near Stockholm. As The Post’s Max Bearak reported at the time, the riots occurred “just two days after President Trump provoked widespread consternation by seeming to imply, incorrectly, that immigrants had perpetrated a recent spate of violence in Sweden.”

Sweden is far from the only place where young people have set cars on fire. On recent New Year’s Eves in France, hundreds were burned, and about 1,000 cars were set on fire during recent end-of-year celebrations.

It is the lack of a clear motive that is frightening, the only logical conclusion is that this was organized as a test of how the Swedish government would respond, that would mean that someone is planning something big for which they wanted the information, the government's response gives them a green light for whatever it is.

Do that and then we'd have a couple of million people without any skills or ability to support themselves. Crime would soar to the point where society would collapse completely. It would be like living through The Purge every day. As much as I would like for it to be the solution, in this case it isn't.

We are essentially bribing these people with welfare payments, to prevent them from causing more damage than they already do. It's a $#@!ty situation, but as long as they're here, there aren't a lot of better alternatives. And as they become a larger and larger chunk of the population, eventually a majority, things are only going to get worse.

Sweden has fallen, it's just not dead yet. Now it's just about staying one step ahead of the chaos.

That's the definition of extortion.

“Trains and hospitals don’t work, but immigration continues,” Roger Mathson, a retired vegetable oil factory worker in Sweden, told Bloomberg on the same day as the violent, coordinated rampage by masked gangs of youths across five Swedish cities.
We noted earlier that Swedish politicians were quick to react with anti-immigrant party 'Sweden Democrats' seeing a surge in the polls ahead of the September 9th election.
“I’m not a racist, but I’m a nationalist,” Mathson said. “I don’t like seeing the town square full of Niqab-clad ladies and people fighting with each other.”
Is Sweden set to have its own political earthquake in September, where general elections could end a century of Social Democratic dominance and bring to power a little known (on the world stage), but the now hugely popular nationalist party often dubbed far-right and right-wing populist, called Sweden Democrats?

Sweden, a historically largely homogeneous population of 10 million, took in an astounding 600,000 refugees over the past five years, and after Swedes across various cities looked out their windows Tuesday to see cars exploding, smoke filling the skies, and possibly armed masked men hurling explosives around busy parking lots, it appears they've had enough.

Over the past years of their rise as a political force in Swedish politics, the country's media have routinely labelled the Sweden Democrats as "racists" and "Nazis" due to their seemingly single issue focus of anti-immigration and strong Euroscepticism.
A poll at the start of this week indicated the Sweden Democrats slid back to third place after topping three previous polls as the September election nears; however, Tuesday's national crisis and what could legitimately be dubbed a serious domestic terror threat is likely to boost their popularity.

Bloomberg's profile of their leader, Jimmie Akesson, echoes the tone of establishment Swedish media in the way they commonly cast the movement, beginning as follows:
Viking rock music and whole pigs roasting on spits drew thousands of Swedes to a festival hosted by nationalists poised to deliver their country’s biggest political upheaval in a century.
The Sweden Democrats have been led since 2005 by a clean-cut and bespectacled man, Jimmie Akesson. He’s gentrified a party that traces its roots back to the country’s neo-Nazi, white supremacist fringe. Some polls now show the group may become the biggest in Sweden’s parliament after general elections on Sept. 9. Such an outcome would end 100 years of Social Democratic dominance.
The group's popularity began surging after the 2015 immigration crisis began, which first hit Europe's southern Mediterranean shores and quickly moved northward as shocking wave after wave of migrants came.

Akesson emphasizes something akin to a "Sweden-first" platform which European media often compares to Trump's "America First"; and the party has long been accused of preaching forced assimilation into Swedish culture to be become a citizen.
Bloomberg's report surveys opinions at a large political rally held in Akkeson's hometown of Solvesborg, and some of the statements are sure to be increasingly common sentiment after this week's coordinated multi-city attack:
At his party’s festival, Akesson revved up the crowd by slamming the establishment’s failures, calling the last two governments the worst in Swedish history. T-shirts calling for a Swexit, or an exit from the EU, were exchanged as bands played nationalist tunes.
Ted Lorentsson, a retiree from the island of Tjorn, said he’s an enthusiastic backer of the Sweden Democrats. “I think they want to improve elderly care, health care, child care,” he said. “Bring back the old Sweden.” But he also acknowledges his view has led to disagreement within his family as his daughter recoils at what she feels is the “Hitler”-like rhetoric.
No doubt, the media and Eurocrats in Brussels will take simple, innocent statements from elderly retirees like "bring back the old Sweden" as nothing short of declaration of a race war, but such views will only solidify after this week.
Another Sweden Democrat supporter, a 60-year old woman who works at a distillery, told Bloomberg, “I think you need to start seeing the whole picture in Sweden and save the original Swedish population,” she said. “I’m not racist, because I’m a realist.”
Sweden's two biggest parties, the Social Democrats and Moderates, are now feeling the pressure as Swedes increasingly worry about key issues preached by Akesson like immigration, law and order, and health care - seen as under threat by a mass influx of immigrants that the system can't handle.
Bloomberg explains further:
But even young voters are turning their backs on the establishment. One potential SD supporter is law student Oscar Persson. Though he hasn’t yet decided how he’ll vote, he says it’s time for the mainstream parties to stop treating the Sweden Democrats like a pariah. “This game they are playing now, where the other parties don’t want to talk to them but still want their support, is something I don’t really understand,” he said.
Akesson has managed to entice voters from both sides of the political spectrum with a message of more welfare, lower taxes and savings based on immigration cuts.
With many Swedes now saying immigration has “gone too far” and as this week's events have once again thrust the issue before both a national and global audience, the next round of polling will mostly like put Sweden's conservative-right movements on top.

That's the definition of extortion.

Like I said, it's a shitty situation. But when you're facing genocide, extortion is a relatively minor problem. I don't want to seem overly dramatic, but the ongoing demographic shift is truly frightening. From 95+ % Nordic 40 years ago, to maybe 75 % Nordic right now. And it's not a linear process, it's an accelerating process. As I've said, Swedes will be a minority before long, and an ever shrinking minority as time passes. And I have no faith in our imports being any gentler with us than the peoples of Zimbabwe or South Africa.

My fear is not so much personal, I still have time and options. But I do fear for my extended family down the line.

I've said for years that SD would become the biggest party this time around, ever since the last election. Opinion polling is a bit iffy in Sweden, since almost all the major pollsters systematically underestimate their level of support. Prior to the last election, most opinion polls had them at 8-9 % and they got 13 %. My guess has been that they would end up with 5-10 % more votes than the Social Democrats this time.

A few problems, though. Even as the biggest party, it will be difficult for them to have much influence, since all the other parties loathe and fear them. We may end up with some "grand right-left coalition" just to keep SD in check, even though SD's policies are very tame. They're no more radical than Danish Social Democrats, for instance. And that's another problem. Even if SD somehow magically got into power, their policies aren't going to make much difference. At most, they'd put up a speed bump on the road to hell.

I still might vote for them, I have in the past. There are a lot of things wrong with them, but they're the best of a really bad lot since all the other parties are terrible. AFS might be an option, but their chances of getting the 4 % needed to enter parliament are slim to none. At least this time. They're a spin-off of the Sweden Democrats, the people who didn't want to go along with SD's watering down of their policies in order to become more mainstream.

If they had any sense they would be begging Russia to help them evict the barbarians.

If we had any sense, we would do it ourselves. Asking Russia to do it for us would be kind of an own goal.

But it is funny how some people worry about Russian aggression over here. What's the worst they could do, send a few hundred thousand young men and make us pay for them? We're already paying for a couple of million invaders, so that's silly to worry about.

At least with the Ruskies ya'll might share some similar moral and ethical values....

After reeling from the sight of approximately 100 burning cars, frequent shootings, grenade attacks and sexual assaults, populism is rising in Sweden - as evidenced by the anti-immigration right-wing Sweden Democrats party surging in polls leading up to next month's September 9 elections. Both the center-left and center-right parties have ruled out working with the Sweden Democrats, a party with neo-Nazi roots that wants to freeze immigration and to hold a referendum on Sweden’s membership of the European Union. That said, the moderate parties may be forced to adopt SD measures in order to assuage public calls for tougher policies on crime and immigration.
sweden%20cars%201.jpg

In response, the head of the center-right Moderate party, Ulf Kristersson, is now on the offensive when it comes to crime and migrants - telling the Financial Times that Swedes have lost trust in the government, and that the country is "paying the price for 20 years of "very unsuccessful integration policies" by both left and rightwing governments."
ulf%20k.jpg

"There is a crisis in politics being able to solve problems," Kristersson lamented. "Is politics able to do anything at all?"
Sweden, held up in international surveys as one of the world’s happiest and most successful countries, has been jolted by frequent shootings, grenade attacks and arson attacks on cars in suburbs with a heavy immigrant population in Stockholm, Malmo and Gothenburg. -FT
Kristersson said Sweden faces a crisis as serious as when it reeled from financial and economic problems in the early '90s, when interest rates spiked 500% and several banks were in need of rescue.
“We have been saying it [is unacceptable] since 2013, and showing in practice that we accept it. This is threatening very basic values. [The car fires are] a sign that things happen that should not happen, that did not happen, that this is not an extreme event,” he added, Kristersson added.
To address Sweden's exploding elephant in the room, the Moderate party has rolled out a series of platform planks dealing with crime and immigration. Some highlights from their website (translated):

  • At least 10,000 more police officers by year 2024
  • The elimination of reduced sentences for youths aged 18-21
  • Increase the minimum penalty for rape and for gross sexual abuse
  • Each police region should have a group specializing in investigating sexual offenses
  • Crack down on "hate gange criminals"
  • Sweden will receive fewer asylum seekers than in recent years
  • Requirements for self-sufficiency and knowledge in Swedish for permanent residence
  • A common quota system in the EU
  • Revoke the citizenship of the person who committed serious crime against the state or lied on their application
  • A national ban on begging
Nothing about the "migrant sex courses" the government is pumping over half-a-million USD into, which aims to stem rampant reports of sexual assault over the last several years, as rape was up 10% across the country in 2017 with 7,230 reported cases. Meanwhile reports of sexual molestation, coercion and exploitation up between three and seven percent across 12,130 reports.

Last week, Swedes were horrified after "multiple gangs of masked youths" rampaged across three major Swedish cities, setting cars on fire using Molotov cocktails in what appears to have been a coordinated action.

Meanwhile, the country's rise of extreme populist groups in Sweden is accelerating fast.
Many Swedes were horrified in early 2017 when U.S. President Donald Trump linked immigration to rising crime in Sweden, but an increasing number now agree with him.
The Sweden Democrats have succeeded in linking the two in the minds of many voters, even though official statistics show no correlation between overall levels of crime and immigration.

As Reuters notes, dozens of people have been killed in the past two years in attacks in the capital Stockholm and other big cities by gangs that are mostly from run-down suburbs dominated by immigrants.
gun%20deaths%20europe.png

According to data released by Swedish police in December, there were 306 shootings in Sweden last year, resulting in 41 deaths. Swedish officials, meanwhile, had refused to acknowledge migrants as a primary factor. In December of 2016, Sweden's freshly minted "Anti-Terror" coordinator, Anna Carlstedt, blamed Islamic Terrorism on "White Power" her first day in office.

And let's not forget about those grenade attacks, such as the one in January at a Malmo police station:
grenade%20attacks.jpg

Grenade attacks in Sweden have been on the rise since 2012, though the rate in 2017 was considerably lower than in previous years, at 10 attacks vs. 34 the previous year. In 2016, an 8 year old boy sleeping in the living room of relatives in Gothenburg, Sweden was killed by a grenade thrown into the room. "At least five children and several adults were in the flat when the grenade was hurled inside," according to the BBC, who added that the boy died in his mother's arms.
In February, 2017 a man was injured outside of a residence after a grenade was thrown:

Moreover, in a February 2017 article that the Huffington Post deleted entitled "Trump is absolutely right about Sweden" Norwegian journalist, author, and world traveler Reni Zografos outlines the country's sweeping problems with immigrants and crime - along with the failure by foreign media to cover the problems.
Its well known to Scandinavians and other Europeans that liberal immigration comes with drugs, rapes, gang wars, robbery and violence. In addition to that we see the respective nations' cultures fading away, for good and for bad. But the immigration problem is not only a Swedish predicament.
The fact is that the press here in Europe hasnt been doing their job properly. There is this fear on the part of journalists to not report the basic truth - which is that Europe has enormous problems that comes from liberal immigration politics, and as we now see not just in Sweden, but also here in Norway. -Reni Zografos
Meanwhile, the Sweden Democrats still trail the Social Democratic Party but has overtaken the main opposition Moderates in many polls. All mainstream parties have ruled out working with them.
2018-06-26_19-52-22_0.jpg

But they could emerge from the election as kingmakers, and a strong election showing could force the next government to take their views into consideration when shaping policy.
Their policies include a total freeze on asylum seekers and accepting refugees only from Sweden’s neighbors in the future. They also want tougher penalties for crime and more powers for police, and say tax cuts and higher spending on welfare could be funded by cutting the immigration budget.
Jimmie Akesson, the leader of the Sweden Democratic party, has described the situation as “pretty fantastic”.
“We are dominating the debate even though no one will talk to us,” he told party members.
The Sweden Democrats have succeeded in linking the two in the minds of many voters, even though official statistics show no correlation between overall levels of crime and immigration. However, while the government denies it has lost control but Prime Minister Stefan Lofven has not ruled out sending the military into problem areas.
“Sweden is going down a more right-wing path,” said Nick Aylott, a political scientist at Sodertorn University said.“It is almost impossible to avoid according some sort of influence to a party with around 20 percent of the vote.”
Trump was right after all.

"Sweden’s anti-terror coordinator claims Islamic extremism is caused by 'White Power' movements, ..."

yep, that must be it.

Their policies include a total freeze on asylum seekers and accepting refugees only from Sweden’s neighbors in the future.

The only sane choice.

The Progressive Era in the US was brought about mostly by massive waves of leftist immigration.

It took decades of limited and very restricted immigration, a depression and two world wars before it got sorted out.

Shut the doors or die...your choice.

Not a new thing. https://www.thelocal.se/20180816/whats-behind-the-car-burnings-in-western-sweden

What's behind the car burnings in western Sweden?

After a spate of car fires in western Sweden and other parts of the country, The Local spoke to experts and a local resident to learn more about the causes of the unrest, and the possible consequences for the community.

Timo Lyyra from Gothenburg found out about the car fires in Frölunda in a phone call from his ten-year-old son. The boy was watching the fire from the windows of his mother’s apartment, where he was staying at the time. "When it happens right in front of your bedroom, when it comes home to you, you get really scared," Lyyra told The Local.

According to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), the number of arson attacks against private cars has nearly doubled every ten years since 1998. In that year, there were 380 such cases recorded in Sweden, which rose to 843 in 2007 and to 1,457 in 2017.

But the prosecutor responsible for the case has rejected speculation over political motives. "There is nothing in our investigation that suggests political motives," prosecutor Mats Ihlbom said on Wednesday, Aftonbladet reported. He did not reveal further information about the suspects's motive but said that one working hypothesis was that the car fires were a reaction to police work in the area.

"It's just one car in each place and feels more random, but it is hard to say if it is the same gang. Unfortunately car fires are not completely uncommon," control room officer Johan Ljung told TT.

Car burnings tend to spike in August before the start of the school semester, said police.

Two suspects aged 16 and 21 from the Gothenburg suburb of Frolunda were arrested on Tuesday, and a third suspect born in 1999 had been on the run, but was stopped as he attempted to enter Turkey.

"After some intense investigating we actually found out he was on his way to Turkey, so we contacted the police in Turkey and told them that we would like to have this man back for investigation," Brehm said. The man is expected to return to Sweden on Wednesday.

"We know all three of them lived in this area and they are citizens of Gothenburg," Brehm continued, adding that police did not know why one of the men had left for Turkey.
