I know some people do not trust these posts, but I am an asst. organizer in 3 meetups here in FL, and I run one. We ran over 80 television ads in December in Brevard County, and hope to run more this month. We have a heavy canvassing effort here in this county, and CAN WIN this county's delegates for Ron Paul. Some links below on how you can help us.

I have taken over a week off work to canvass from the 19th (yes I was out today) through the 28th. I will personally make a huge dent in this county, and have others helping me. Over 50 precinct captains and we have been in every towns Christmas parade with a nice float and gave away 7000 slims and 4 five gallon buckets of candy to the kids and adults there. Every gun show, and plenty of sign waves. We will canvass this whole county if possible, we started canvassing back in September, and hope to run a decent GOTV effort on the 29th.

We need help though, we want to win this county, and think we can. We need more money for TV ads though. Dr. Paul has radio ads on in FL, but no TV.

Please everyone, FL is important, and this is not some last ditch effort to win here, we are as organized as any meetup in the country, and FL coordinator Mark Cross thinks we are probably the most really organized area in FL. We are going to run a real GOTV effort, and try to pick up thousands of votes.

TV ads do NOT work. People use TiVo and DVRs to skip commercials. Why waste tens of thousands on a 30 second spot that noone will watch?

Direct mail and local newspaper ads are significantly more effective.

He/she wrote the exact same words in another thread. The 60+ older folks usually don't have that stuff, and that's who we're really trying to reach in sunny ole' FL.

You should talk to frankdog, has a couple of good graphical ones(may need to check on music releases are complete) on you tube and adamT-chris rye he has a military ad that is good.

to get momentum going into super tuesday. Huckabee is on life support down here...if we can beat him or giuliani, we'll get a huge bump for feb 5th

FL is NOT a Winner Take All state at this time. It is not yet even determined per the LRC blog entry from yesterday.

Even if it is WTA and he cannot win delegates the perceived victory of coming in 4th or 3rd would be huge since he would beat one of the frontrunners in the polls who are essentially all tied.
