Super Bowl Commercial Update

bump

C'mon folks. We need to pour it on for Super Tuesday. TV ads, locally-placed newspaper ads, canvassing.

Time to give it all we've got. :)

I knew from the git-go that people weren't gonna poor money in when the specific ad is seemingly still in question. I can't believe that we're 15 pages into a thread and we still are bickering over the ad. Keep this up and 2 days from now we'll still be at square one with the ad and still a measily 10k raised. How do we expect some heavier donors to back us and get this thing really going when nothing is set in stone?

And now, people are asking for money for an RP racing car to even further siphon off much needed funds for grassroots ads. Maybe next, we can all throw down on an RP spaceship. If the grassroots is continually spread too thin in every direction, we're going nowhere.:(

I agree, even if some dislike the ad, at least we'll know what we're getting, and those who do like it will donate. We won't get another chance to have an audience who actually looks forward to watching ads. This is important!

Alot of posts, but few donors for a cause where you don't have to do anything except give a little money.

What is better than running commericials on SuperBowl Sunday before and after the game ?

Let's stop over-analysing please, and get some commercials run. I am by no means rich myself.

Sorry, not a good introduction to Ron Paul.

I completely agree. It makes sense to 'us', but not very powerful the non-supporters.

I think Frankdogg's 'imagine' to fortunate son is the best, but not as good with the newer music, FOR SURE.

From the ones I have seen on this forum, I'd use Frankdogg's "Ron Paul Is"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8mMTa79Uzc

I know it's not as catchy as 'Imagine' but it is a good introduction at least.

Not the BEST for superbowl spunk, though so I still have my eyes out.

Bump for.. Super Bowl ads.. :) We only have today and tomorrow left to reach the early deadlines for some spots!

I will be happy with this

I like the second better because of the mood. People will notice it because of the EPIC kick-ass Music. Frank-doggs strikes a more somber tone, but the ending is fantastic.

Actually, What would be the best is to take frankdoggs ending and attach it to Adriangreys ad at the end. haha....That would be one kick ass combo...Takes the great continuity of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm1ogIIXrTE, with the larger than life ending of frankdogg's ad.
Yup. That's my favorite one too. Note for demographic purposes that I'm a 57-yr-old woman and that video grabs me but good. The visuals are fascinating and they tease the viewer into thinking at first that this is a clip for a new show like CSI. The fact that there is such compelling music and no talking also attracts attention.

i agree fellow cdn ... it's special effects worthy of super bowl ... i'd finish it with a vote republican presidential candidate ron paul & great picture of him crossfaded with the famous mosaic picture of him

kill the banks

add a chip in eh !

Rush Limbaugh uses that bumper music and that was challenged, Rush won because he uses such a small snippet - or so I have been told. I'm not a legal eagle so I don't know how to find out if that is true or not, but it would seem there should be some way to find out.

If that is the case for Rush, then it would seem that set a precedent - and we would be using only 30 seconds, right?
:)
