Super Bowl Commercial Update

my only problem w/ that video is that it has no words :( so what if people get up go to the kitchen to get something to eat they will hear the music but not any words......i think this makes sense.......find a vid that speaks so people can hear it!

I think it's irrelevant. It's the Super Bowl - more people watch the ads than the game. :)

I have an idea. HQ is asking for 5 million by Feb 5th.

Give all of the money raised for the SB commercial to them. At least they can spread it around better than a single 20 second segment that will be seen once. Just seems like it would be put to a more useful purpose.

My opinion of course.

We're actually looking to take any amount but ideally $100,000+ and turn it into 6million+ people in Super Tuesday markets seeing 1-3 Ron Paul :30sec Ron Paul ads.

Selecting a commercial
Unofrtunatley, there has not been time to have an official vote, however, we have listened to your suggestions and watched countless commercials. At this point it looks like the first choice amongst most people is FrankDoggs Imagine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Med926aDBoc So we are working on getting this into a finished product that is ready to air. We checked into licensing for Fortunate Son (the background music) and that will not be available to us, so we are in the process of selecting another piece of music.

I think the poker game 30 sec spot would be perfect for a Superbowl ad. You know the one where the elitist gets the straight flush and starts taking sound money, Bill of Rights, and our liberties away until the blue collar working stuff stops him with the real winning deck. That's an amazing ad, a shame no PAC has picked it up yet.

We didnt get enough money but we talked to the guy that did the ad that we would reshoot it and he was very supportive.

We are talking about turning back on the Ad agency production side again.

Will keep you in touch for this if you like

Yes, aside from just the gambling perspective (which I didn't view it as when seeing it the first time) I thought this ad really summed up what we're about here.

You have some elitist taking away all of our UNALIENABLE rights with a hand that pretty much cannot be beaten. Then of course, you know the rest, and we win! Would've liked to have seen a "property" chip or something like that in there as well but one of my favorite ads.

Great! Add another chip in there for property rights, and see if you cannot glue together the winning deck! ;)

I'm in FL so we can't use this ad here unfortunately, though we are running some good ones now for this area like Jeremiah Black's Pastor Chuck Baldwin ad along with Chris Rye's Bo Thompson ad.

At the moment I am pulling for this ad, for the superbowl
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm1ogIIXrTE

A lot of energy....we NEEED ENERGY again. And really works for that atmosphere.

The hard hitting music grabs your attention. It doesn't pander, it is clean cut. It will at least get people discussing Ron Paul. It is a quality ad, and does not run like your typical political garbage.

I Like it the best so far.

nice thing is he has all the rights on it .

YOU NEED TO SAY

"Why are this man's ideas being deliberately ignored? What is it that they are afraid of? Ron Paul wants to get the government out of your lives.... etc...

You need to make people WANT to find out about him.

No 30 second "spot" will ever get his ideas across.

As for music, ask the guys who did that great Rap/hip hop piecce. Perfect for the Superbowl.

frankdogg makes such fantastic commercials, but I think his "Who is Ron Paul" will much better serve the average person who has no idea who Ron Paul is. Most people don't know what he looks like or even that he exists, let alone his platform. The almost-subliminal word cluster at the end is a very good technique I think, and you get to see lots of shots of the Good Doctor, standing up and addressing the people, rather than just a glimpse of a contemplative face. This comes at the expense of it seeming a little too "political-y," but I think it is stylish enough to get past that.

The CCR ad, or whatever music ends up being put on it, is very fun and gets the viewer excited, plus does not look (or sound) like your average political commercial. That is good for the Superbowl, but bad for informing the voter. You only glimpse Ron at the very end and can't get a feel for what the man even looks like. It almost seems like he is hiding. He doesn't look very "presidential." Plus, as mentioned earlier, there is no spoken word! You have to read the cards as they appear. People might be in the kitchen, looking at eachother chatting, could be one of a million things. YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME AUDIO at LEAST! And all of his positions are "imagine..." as though he is saying "all these things will simply go away if I am elected." I think most people will be suspicious, even incredulous. Nobody wants to elect an idealist. This commercial would have been great a few months ago to build hype, but now we need some MEAT on these things.

I feel that the Who Is Ron Paul? Commercial covers much more ground and is a FAR better introduction to the viewer who has never heard of Ron Paul. Secondly, those undecideds who may like Ron Paul or know little about him but generally feel he has no shot may perk up and re-consider after seeing such a slick, inspirational ad, on the Superbowl, no less!

We need to use "Who Is Ron Paul?", I'm begging you guys.

I will be happy with this, or

I like the second better because of the mood. People will notice it because of the EPIC kick-ass Music. Frank-doggs strikes a more somber tone, but the ending is fantastic.

Actually, What would be the best is to take frankdoggs ending and attach it to Adriangreys ad at the end. haha....That would be one kick ass combo...Takes the great continuity of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm1ogIIXrTE, with the larger than life ending of frankdogg's ad.

Just my humble opinion. In either case http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm1ogIIXrTE works for the party atmosphere and WILL GRAB you attention. The reason I say this is because everyone's eyes are glued to the TV looking for something interesting during that day. They will be discussing these commercials...IF WE GIVE them POLITICS on that day they will TUNE OUT. That is why we need something that might look like a Movie Intro, which is exactly why I am pulling for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm1ogIIXrTE.
:D
