Thats not bad, and I agree, that one is more likely to generate the after play talk and buzz we would really like.

(fyi we could also use different ads for different markets too - no reason we have to use the same ad everywhere).

There's also another one I like but can't find on YouTube. Used electrical-like special effects and I THINK it was designed to be used at the premiere of a movie, the sequel to Network or something like that?

It was visually very intriguing, which is why it got my attention. It might also have been one of the ads designed for the CNN/YouTube ad contest.

Anyone know which ad that might have been?

my only problem w/ that video is that it has no words so what if people get up go to the kitchen to get something to eat they will hear the music but not any words......i think this makes sense.......find a vid that speaks so people can hear it!

I had a great idea for a Ron Paul ad. Too bad there's no time left to make it though.

That's it! A really eye-catching ad, and the fact that there is only music, no speaking, got my attention in the first place. With commercials you expect someone to start blathering at you. This ad begins like it's an intro to a new show, so that provides a hook right there.

No talking - hooks the viewer
Dynamic, dramatic - doesn't initially look like an ad

Why the fuck isn't the campaign using these effective commercials?

If I saw that commercial and didn't know those facts.. Ron Paul gets my vote immediately.

Probably not free to use -- yet. But the authors may give permission. The intro says it is by 4 Eyes Animation. I found their site and contact info in case project coordinators would like to contact them.

Blimp funds still fall short of what we owe the blimp company. No leftovers. But, we were close to $10,000 4-hours ago and I'll try to update that figure a little later tonight .
