Students for Ron Paul Iowa Campaign Blog

LOVE the entry for today -- you guys are doing a fantastic job - thank you so much

I <3 earl :D

Loved reading the whole blog! LMAO at this part:

I got to kick a girl out of the guy cabin (she wanted to stay with her boyfriend, but we had to put an end to that to stave off a massive influx of "freedom babies" next August.)

It absolutely makes my heart soar to know that the future of our country is going to belong to the RP student activists! I truly feel safer for my own children and their children knowing this.

Earl,
Question....do many ask how, when, and where they go to caucus?
And do you guys provide them with that info?

Getting them to actually show up is the most important thing. I applaud your efforts. You are a true patriot!

Romney to be in Dubuque at 12:15 12/31

Hi everyone.

Not sure where to post this. Mitt Romney will be giving a little speech in Dubuque today. Ron Paul supporters, I'm told, like to welcome other candidates at their rallies with their signs.

Best Western Midway Motor Lodge
3100 Dodge Street
Dubuque, IA

is where this is scheduled to take place.

Thank you so much for keeping this journal.
Many of us want to be in Iowa or New Hampshire but cannot so instead we will live the experience through your story.

Looking forward to seeing your videos.:)

i salute you all for all the hard work!!! pls keep posting.. it is very inspiring reading them.

267 students from 48 states and a number of countries are descending upon Iowa today.

have you asked the students from other countries what they thought about rp immagration commercial?????just curious on what their take is on it......

I've had the time of my life going up to Joe Biden houses and telling them "Yeah, Biden's my #2 choice (for reasons I won't get into here) but here's why I support Ron Paul instead!" A lot of them are taken aback by a volunteer for a Republican who says that a Dem is his #2 choice, and they accept what I say a lot better. I get a lot of people that also say "I like Ron Paul but I'm a Democrat" and similar tactics work very well.

Amazing...simply...amazing...:D

What I like is the going into Democratic neighborhoods. They're going to have GOP caucuses too and if we do well it will be because we went to these neighborhoods instead of ignoring them.

Did these students "move" to Iowa? Will they be voting in the Caucus?

No, they did not "move to Iowa." No, they will not be attending the caucus. Although, some students may be from Iowa itself.

This is a campaign organized, "grassroots-style" effort to get alot of boots on the ground. It's what they call a Ron Paul Christmas Vacation. This is basically a giant month long canvassing event with central planning. College and maybe even some high school students who are on winter break and thus have weeks of free time signed up to take a "vacation" in Iowa, with lodging and food paid for by the campaign, while they go around Iowa daily spreading Ron Paul's message.
