One of the greatest rewards of winning the primary is that Rand didn't have to make that decision.

And from the supporters point of view, a great reward is that it is irrelevant and thus most of us won't talk about it. I personally would've given an opinion if Rand lost. But he didn't.

He would have endorsed Trey, he had agreed to do so. But he was really pissed about some of what was thrown at him, and since he isn't a politican but for this election, he wouldn't have been preserving comity in the party. He would have just refocused on his practice, I suspect.

I think he would have issued a statement of support, which is good strategy. But I doubt he would have gone out of his way to debate on Trey's behalf.

the July 10th GOP rally was a healing event! it was said in another thread the Lt. Gov shall
avoid Fancy Farm and any grand rhetorical florishes because perhaps he knows 2011 looms
and he might be thought a contender again, his desire to be almost apolitical save for an across
the board epistle to his fellow Democrats says he is not immediately seeking a public office!
