STOP!!!! DO THIS IF YOU WANT TO WIN!! WA!!

Greatly.. since its a caucus. Every vote represents a lot of people. Consider this in 2008 caucus came third with 21% but we 'lost' 1st place by 488 votes.. So not many votes separated 1st from third. These efforts can have major impact overall.

AWESOME!!! i am really optimistic about this new robocall program, i hope that it will be a HUGE factor in washington, and when it is, maybe then it will wake the lazy ron paul supporters up to get off their ass and stop complaining and start making these calls!!! once people see it was a success they will join our efforts in masses!!!! let us pray this was the tool we needed all along!!!!!!!!

i ask this because although it was a very receptive list, most everyone i spoke to was going to vote....

I had the exact reverse results. I got the impression that very few of the Ron supporters that I talked to were planning to attend and that I was the first person to contact them. This matches my experience in Nevada where we had a database system with flagged RP supporters.

Most of the people answered "Yes" to the first question (Are you a supporter?). "No" was the answer to the second question (Are you going to the caucus?) about half the time. The other answer to the 2nd question was usually "I don't know" or "What day is it?", hardly ever a resounding "yes!"

The cool thing is that selling a guy who just admitted that he's an RP supporter on the importance of him getting his ass to the caucus is really easy and must be massively easier than trying to sell vitamins or convincing people to change their religion.

Made about 200 calls total. Can we get a new list for north dakota or Alaska before super Tuesday?

i used to be a stockbroker, so making phone calls and selling stock over the phone is second nature to me.... i was very suprised at how each person i spoke to was soo receptive, that is something i was never used to, im glad you had the exact opposite of me because thats the reason we were making the calls, im hoping and praying that this will work out for us very well!!! now my next questions is, what will be the next state(s) we do this in? we definately need the help of all true ron paul supporters to get on board with this SUPER IMPORTANT program!! its funny because these people were sooo receptive, i didnt want to ever put the phone down!!!!!!!! every single contact was a good conversation and made you feel warm inside knowing there were sooo many other ron paul supporters out there just like you and i!!! i honestly cant wait to start making phone calls for the next state!!!! THATS HOW AWESOME IT WAS!!!!

I suggest Idaho, Alaska, and Dakota (North or South, whichever one is better for us).. and maybe a little bit of Virginia IF we get enough volunteers AND MONEY.

why would we hold back on virginia????????????? i dont get it???? its just us and romney there!

I agree with John lets get a list of ND or Vermont. Some state for Super Tues.

Also agree with wolfgang., very easy!

Now that the caucuses are underway, time to concentrate on ND, AK, ID, VT in that order. VA is delegates by district (if Romney get 50% in each district he gets all delegates - correct me if I am wrong). Not sure why there are no campaign stops in ND which is the best in fundraising numbers... ID is ifffy with 23% of population identified as LDS but there are 4 stops there on Mar 5th.

I made 63 calls. Here's how the "Are you a supporter?" question broke down:

Y 27
VM 25
N 4
NA 3
X 1
N? 1
? 1
M 1

The 27 supporters broke down like this for the "Will you attend?" question after my arm twisting:

Y 16
N 9
M 2

I'd say that only 2 or 3 of those 16 attenders would have attended if they weren't cajoled.

thats great!!!! i think we need to make a very important sales pitch, a very strong and powerful straightline sales pitch.... we need to have answers for all the rubuttals!!! although i can do this on the fly, im sure many of the people helping out and calling can not do this on the fly. we need to train our callers for when the people we are calling say no when we ask if they are going to go vote. just my opinion. in other words if the person we call say no when we ask if they will be going to vote, we cant just say ok have a nice day, we have to do whatever it takes to get them to go out and vote

I think by far the biggest issue with this is getting A LOT more people calling. I allocated about 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon, and 2 more at night in between trying to do some programming work and I got 63 calls done.

With 20 or 30 people we worked that 1500 row list pretty good. But I think to have a big enough impact we really needed to do this for all 15,000 or whatever it was quality leads that the robo-machine created. I think we proved that it would work. We just need 10 times the callers to get 10 times the output. The call center is a good backup, but these RP supporters really need their hands held to find their locations and be shamed into committing to going.

If we could do that first, then I'd say you should focus on a small impactable state.

Would you mind giving us some examples? What do you think of what I wrote here?

But Virginia is a primary, and high-population. So, unless Grassroots for Liberty gets massive amounts of money for millions of robocalls and hundreds of thousands of calls to supporters, it wouldn't make a huge difference. It would still be good, but with limited resources we must prioritize.

Which of these is caucus and which primary? OK, I looked it up, and Idaho, Alaska, and North Dakota are all CAUCUSES happening on the 6th, Super Tuesday, and will be announced on the news as wins/loses for whomever, so they are very important. Vermont is a primary, but of course very small, less than a million people, so it could make sense to call there.

A caucus thing of some sort is happening on the 10th in South Dakota, but I don't know the process there.

Puerto Rico is happening on the 18th, and other than that I'm not finding info on when the territories are happening and how they work; anyone know? Because the territories are where this robocall system could be huge -- very very small numbers of people decide the outcomes in them.

I'd say this is accurate. I'd also say that while I love this system it's going to have a moderated impact in high turnout/population states (mostly primaries).
If it comes to a push or shove on resources I'd opt for a continued caucus focus. However I hope there's more involvement from here on in. Even doubling or volunteer tally and having everyone on board for say a week (or two? ;) ) instead of days could/would make a greater impact.

Ok still tired and mostly just repeating what you said :p so I'll call it for now :o

EDIT:

Idaho, Alaska, and North Dakota are also all states we have a shot at, more favorable populations and ground games than some of the prior states, and in ID this is their first election after switching to a caucus system so that's an edge as well.
Here's a list with the dates of everything that links to the green papers for details.

Northern Marianas (caucus - Closed) 9 total delegates

So Northern Marianas already happened?!?!? What happened? What were the results? Why have we not heard about this?
