Stephen Colbert bit on Ron Paul 1-31-08

This comedy bit was so much so "tongue in cheek" that my wife at first thought he was making fun of Ron Paul. For some people, it may take a while before the meaning sinks in; my hope is that it will wake up some McCain and Romney supporters.

Oh my goodness. Doesn't that just smart right between the eyes!

Although Colbert is a Democrat, I think he could support Dr. Paul. In a serious interview with Larry King (most interviews he gives are in character.) One of the last question Larry asked him was, "What makes a good American?" Very quickly Colbert said, "I like people who leave other people alone." A very telling quote in my opinion.

Colbert gave the president the finger in person. Even Ron hasn't done that.

No it was satire, taking advantage of his age, maybe...but with age comes wisdom. He was saying, "Ron Paul has been right from the beginning on everything."

He was not making fun of Pauls age.

He was demonstrating how RP has been calling stuff for a long time now, gets written off as crazy, and yet he always ends up right.

Colbert was exagerting the length of time Paul has been calling stuff to emphasize the point that, he has more then enough history of calling major events right, for us to start validating his calls already.

Colbert was 150% behind Paul there.
