Don't use it, it will lose votes on the GOP side, which are more valuable come later states.

It could make a good flier to convert your democratic friends. Or possibly stick in a liberal newspaper.

Remember this will only work in open primary states like Michigan. Using it elsewhere is a waste of time and effort. Good work though.

ahhh shizzle!!! Just the tool i've been waiting for... I've been making it a point to get some of the Students for Ron Paul slimjims into the hands of Obama supporters.... See a Bo-Boma sticker in the parking lot gets a slim jim,,, a car infront of me at a stop light they get handed one too :D

This is just another weapon to add to the arsenal!!

Nice Job!

Pimpblimp...but, i don't know about the 3rd point...reads like a conspiracy theory/bias. As a reader, I would question who owns Judicial Watch List. If you could make another point based on voting record, I think it would remove the "bad taste" so to speak.

if you look under grassroots projects...a couple of us have sent out emails for someone to create a website, or youtube footage- a comparison of philosophies.

I've emailed Lymon, and a couple of youtube people....
Maybe an idea for you if you're tech savvy...

Don't use it until it has been proof-read throughly. It has misspellings and grammar problems.

Pointless using it in Michigian. I don't even think Obama is on the ballot. All you need to do is inform them of delegates being stripped in Michigan and tell them to vote Ron Paul instead.

I will give Obama credit, he did stand up against some of the things in the reauthorization in the Patriot Act. He should have voted against it altogether, but if you read his speech, it's decent.

I post a response to the ad on another thread, but just in case. The 3rd point reads bias/conspiracy.
As a reader, I would question, "Well, who owns the Judicial Watch." I think straight voting record, or flip-flop information would be balanced.

Judicial Watch is a pretty sound organization

I think a website devoted to showing Obama supporters the light would be a worthy undertaking. I may take you up on that :D

It's not exactly balanced. In a situation like this you don't really want to show the differences, rather the similarities. We don't need to "steal" these votes. The Dems. can't vote (or if they do it won't count) in Michigan. By saying it isn't balanced I mean that we're saying different things in the comparisons.

Comparison 1

This is pretty good because it takes an idea that Obama voters already like (he kind of eludes to bringing troops home eventually) and showing that Paul also wants to bring them home, even sooner.

Comparison 2

I think we could make a bigger impact here with a tax example. As stated on Obama's website's, "Provide a Tax Cut for Working Families", "Simplify Tax Filings for Middle Class Americans" and then compare that to Paul's plan that would completely eliminate all federal taxes for American families. We want to draw attention to how they are alike and specifically point out Paul's even stronger stance and more effective stance on the issue.

Comparison 3

This could be an economy issue pointing out some generalization between they both want to bring stability to the current crisis we're in.

They also have similar stances on keeping the internet free and unregulated. This would hit hard with younger voters too.

They both believe in securing our borders to reduce immigration problems. Many of the details are different but the goal is the same.

Overall it's a great idea. Keep in mind the idea of drawing connections between Obama and Paul because we don't have to convert these voters since they can't actually weigh in for the democrats any way. We just need to make it easy enough for them to feel good about voting for a republican with similar views to their own candidate. It's likely to cause them to really start to look into Dr. Paul and become another dedicated supporter.

Thanks PimpBlimp

Whether or not you change it, thanks for letting me know you understood what I meant...Sometimes, I get too excited, and things are misconstrued....

If I can, I might send it over to some meetups and pass it on...

You'd win a lot more support from Obama folks (who would otherwise vote for him if they could) by showing similarities between the two candidates (anti-war, feel free to emphasize that he wants to bring home the troops immediately, etc) than doing so while simultaneously criticizing Obama. It really depends on whether you're trying to entice Obama supporters to vote for Paul in MI solely because of the situation or not.

Useless. i have many college friends rooting for Obama now and they refused to even consider Ron Paul because they cannot see Ron winning this nomination. They rather use their votes to save the country from Hitlery. On the contrary, I have better luck with Hillary people.

I agree point three is not a good one though not conspiaratorial.

A better point for 3 is the special interest money Obama has been taking along with Hillary from the banking industry.

Ron Paul has taken no special interest money unlike obama, that is why he is the only real candidate for change.

I also agree with a different poster, this ad is only good for open primary states, worthless in closed primaries.
