I just happened upon the poem "The New Colossus" by Emma Lazarus. Its the poem at the base of the statue of liberty:

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door. "

-- Emma Lazarus

Aside from the wretched refuse part, I think it applies very well to the kind of people attracted to Dr. Paul. People who are disillusioned, jaded, and just plain tired of government taking their freedoms one by one. People longing to breathe free.

Well, unfortunately, in the eyes of the MSM, we are "wretched refuse." But only for a little while. Things will be looking up for us shortly. :D

After refuting someone on a message board that Dr. Paul and his supporters were "fringe", I ended with the following:

"After giving it some thought, I rather like your label of "fringe". I also recall another group of people who were labeled as such. They are referred to now as our Founding Fathers."
