Statist Paul Haters...of the socialist flavor.

Why would a statist like him even bother promote to help poor people when his whole ideology is that the government's soul domestic purpose is to do it for them?

What a ideological wreck.

And hence the inherent conflicting views of statism and socialism that I believe Hayek talks about in the Road to Serfdom. It's these planners that believe they can have their statist beliefs and programs and somehow have it be compatible with freedom. Then again he indirectly referes to "economic freedom, freedom, and liberty" as shit read: "and all this shit" around the 1:00 mark.

But this is where the problem lies. We've become complacent people, enjoying the fruits sown by those who died in battle many years ago while not fully understanding or even appreciate what it took to get here. It's this taking of freedom for granted that is leading society to become ignorant and hence malleable by government. The trail behind us has become too foggy and over the years our ignorance encourages laziness and so we rely on the government to take care of whatever it is we the people don't feel like dealing with.

Up until about 8 months ago I was ignorant and decided to question the seemingly obvious. Why does it feel/seem like nothing is improving (economically)? Why is this war taking forever? Why are we at war? What's such a big deal about getting scanned at the airport? Finding the answers to the questions should and will inevitably lead you to someone like Ron Paul. I just hope the remaining majority of this country begins to think, ask, and seek the answers.

So I did make a response.

Nice post...but..this guy is a hardcore statist. If he does put his hands on that book the chapter on the minium wage will catch his hair on fire. He had over 100 vids up not to long ago..he's just started over on that channle. Some of his old stuff leads me to believe turning this guy on to Liberty would be like turning Karl Marks on to the Free Market.

Perhaps, but it's worth a try, ya know? If I couldn't turn him onto the message of liberty maybe somebody else watched my video and thought what I had to say sounded pretty good.

Looks like a redneck talks like a idiot.

My favorite part was when he said that socialism is about human needs so thus their is no incentive to start a war.Yeah right my country paid for unnecessary military equipment for 50+ years so in the 90`s when the socialist states started to fall apart we were given an ultimatum , either we let the military leave our territory and take all the equipment that was paid for all those years or WAR,our politicians made the correct solution ( the only one in 20 years) and let them leave. They used the fresh man and equipment to start a new war and pushed 200 000 refuges into our territory which then started a rebellion and almost a civil war. That is because they put the peoples needs first and not their greedy asses.

Indeed. Thats why I slaped ( "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Capitalism"-by Robert P. Murphy and the online work "The Libertarian Manifesto on Pollution"-By Murray N. Rothbard.) up on your vid. Perhapps some "Marginal statist" will run across those titles and follow up with a google search. For Liberty.

I wanted to do a video response but realized the video would end up being an hour long to re-educate this ass clown. I wonder if he realizes that it took 100 years to pass labor laws because business was in bed with government. I wonder if he realizes that these laws gave rise to unions being in bed with government and priced manufacturing jobs out of the world market and gave rise to sweat shops overseas. I wonder if he knows that his webcam was made by tiny little hands in China. These are the type of people I like to meet in public and humiliate them with true history he seems to have such a solid grasp on.

He speaks about the homeless man but I guarantee he has not given a dime to a homeless person nor realize that it was the HMO Act of 1972 that gave rise to the homeless problem when corporatism invaded the health care industry and forced all the privately owned and charity based psychiatric hospitals to close in the seventies and eighties. I could go on for hours and hours but only preaching to the choir here.

I disagree with this. I am beginning to get the impression from my reading that Marx and Engels' critiques are leveled against actually-existing capitalism, instead of what many anarchists (and thus libertarians) envision a free-market society as looking like. Thus, it probably wouldn't be so much of a question of "turning Marx on to the free market". Here's a quote from this supposed enemy of the free market:

Is that to say we are against Free Trade? No, we are for Free Trade, because by Free Trade all economical laws, with their most astounding contradictions, will act upon a larger scale, upon the territory of the whole earth; and because from the uniting of all these contradictions in a single group, where they will stand face to face, will result the struggle which will itself eventuate in the emancipation of the proletariat.

I think there is a difference in that Marx viewed the free market as a transitional phrase into what his vision of socialism would ultimately entail, whereas some libertarians (myself included, by the way) tend to believe that the free market is the method by which socialism's stated ends will come about, because it will naturally empower others to make their own choices in life instead of being bound down by the state and by actually-existing capitalism, which is tethered to the state in order to sustain itself.

Of course, I could be wrong, which would mean that both of these men would be extremely dense... but I doubt that. And of course, I don't think a whole lot of run-of-the-mill socialists understand these distinctions either. So they're dense, too.

I made it 30 seconds in...as soon as he screwed up the definition of libertarianism, I knew he didn't have a clue. Any subsequent arguments can't be logical when you can't get basic definitions correct.
