States no signature needed from Dr. Paul, write-ins count: AL, IA, WI, PA, CA, VT, NH, DE

Except that since some of us WANT to vote for Ron Paul, and it ISN'T for the two main worst, it is simply our accurate vote whereas voting for the OTHER guy who doesn't have a chance wouldn't be. You can vote as you please, but other people's decisions should be respected as well.

What I interpret WarAnonymous saying is that he didn't want to vote for someone who had no chance of winning. That is my pet peeve. I don't care who you all vote for, but everyone needs to stop perpetuating the idea that it is bad to vote for someone who doesn't have a chance to win. The media uses that tactic to marginalize candidates in third parties all the time. They have used it against Dr. Paul as well. I'm irritated when the tactic is used by liberty supporters against another liberty candidates.

I thought what he was saying is that if someone was better AND had a chance of winning, he might vote for them over Ron, but he'd rather vote for Ron, and when the guy he doesn't like as much as Ron ALSO doesn't have a chance of winning, he'd just stick with voting for the guy he liked best.

Mr. NDAA/assassination of American citizens or Mr. Send Your Jobs to China. That is the choice they are giving us, the worst in history. If ever there was a time for a big write-in vote it is now.

Thanks for posting this. Luckily, I'm in PA.

Essentially, this mean Ron Paul is on the ballot here. I'm voting for Ron Paul. :)

+Rep! Unless your one vote is going to decide the fate of the Presidency, then by definition, your vote doesn't mean anything. With the way our system is setup, there are around 30 states or more that are either deep blue or deep red. There are only a handful of battleground states this cycle, so having a "wasted vote" is not a big issue.

You are absolutely right. The argument is always to vote for the lesser of two evils because of how much worse it could have been with the other guy. Well, if one votes for the lesser of two evils for decade after decade, well, evil wins the day.

This thread is exactly what pisses me off about New Hampshire. They're too free! They allow their citizens to vote for anyone they want and then they turn around and have the audacity to count their votes? It angers me to no end how much freedom one state allows their citizens.

In all seriousness: For everyone looking to make a dent using third parties, this is why it is so hard. Take it from those of us who have tried, these ballot-access laws make it extremely difficult to make any progress. Then, once you get on the ballot, the real work begins because then one has to convince a majority of voters of both legitimacy and electability along with the information that the candidate on this ticket is the best one. It is downright exhausting, time-consuming, and financially prohibitive. All the while, the Democrat and Republican candidate know the laws are in place to solidify their monopoly. Running Third Party successfully is not impossibly, but it's not for the faint of heart.
