State Conventions, etc. ORGANIZE

Please everyone! look into your own state and call your local state gop office and ask if you can still become a delegate (because you're so enthusiastic about the party, obviously)- please report here with what you find out. - I am amassing data on all states, but please there might be county conventions happening tomorow that i haven't found yet. Please.... remember, the conventions are where the real election happens!

on topic- you are right, people need to be taking part in their state convention, but a majority of the state delegates have already been decided for most states.
wish you were here 7 months ago when we were trying to get people to become delegates...
they didn't because they were too focused on who was going to be the next "trevor lyman".
its frustrating to say the least.
and now, we are trying to take back congress, but the support for our candidates has been dismal at best.
we can raise 6 million in one day for Ron Paul, but none of our candidates has a war chest greater than $10,000 total...in races where $300,000 will be needed to compete.
frustrating.

First - I agree that there were way more delegate opportunities 7 months ago. But the more i read each state's little bizarre rules, there are still A LOT of opportunities to become county and state delgates. Also, the strategy of tracking down existing delegates (like romney delegates) may prove to be a useful tool. (convert etc.)

Second - It is horribly sad there is not as much support for RP-esque congresspeople. Heck, we haven't even gotten RP 400k yet for his congress run! I am in this for the long haul, so I will be pushing hard for all y'all for years to come. I will even run in chicago in the near future.

Third - no, I am not Buffy the Vampire Slayer, just a sci-fi dork in my spare time. Though I like the loose analogy for our cause.

WOW....finally! People here finally get it! And everyone here on RPForums bitched about the Maine Straw poll results when we knew all along its about the state delegates! We've been talking abou this from Day 1 here in Maine, glad to see the rest of you finally woke up

Yes there is a lot of hoop jumping left to become a national delegate. this is what we need to be working on. I'm in Minnesota and i can tell you that we have a very good chance to win a lot of delegates here.

I am trying my best to become an expert at every state, but really, we need everyone to look into their own state and call your local county/district and state gop office to help us figure this out in time. it's a bit complicated, but that's why we can steal this. We are the smartest grassroots out there, if anyone can do it, it's us.

I do not have a clue as to what a non delegate at a state convention is supposed to do. I filled out the form and will make sure it is in well ahead of the dead line and hope for the best.

If there are any vacancies in my county, I will step up, if they vote on the names given them on the presidential preference forms and I am selected to go to the national convention, Minniapolis we here come.

If I am not chosen for anything, let's hope it is some other RP supporter that gets elected!
