This cracked me up this morning from the Twitter feed.

RT @stlouis4ronpaul: @Romney supporters openly crying, woman screaming at @RonPaul Supporters "TERRIORIST!" - woah. #MOCaucus

sounds about right, one of our central committee members was called a jihadist Ron Paul infiltrator after being quizzed if he was a Ron Paul supporter but played their game too well.

Ron Paul wins do-over St. Charles County caucus

Local spin.

The Paul campaign used superior organization to get its people to the meeting at the St. Charles Convention Center. More than 900 people took part overall.

Brent Stafford, the Paul activist who chaired the caucus, said Paul’s supporters were "inspired by his positions on constitutional government and sound fiscal policy’’ and his consistency on issues over the years.

Folks, gloating may feel good. REAL, REAL good. But don't do it. We need every last vote we can get. Don't gloat. Every time you gloat you create an enemy. We want all the votes we can get. But if we can't gain a vote we sure don't want to create an enemy.

If we knew we wouldn't say because it is top secret, but everyone has been running their own numbers. Had Santa NOT dropped out, and WITH Ron winning St Charles I think we would have expected a plurality from MO but with Santa dropping out there is the question of how much of his support in delegates was filled with party tools who will immediately switch to Romney, and how much was an anti Romney vote to begin with. I don't know if Ron will have enough delegates to do, statewide, what happened in St Charles and defeat a JOINT attack by Santa/Romney folks. HOwever, if conservatives want a conservative candidate, whether or not they want Ron, their sole chance is STILL in a brokered convention, which can entertain nominations from the floor, and ONLY Ron's people can be trusted to continue to push for that. It is very clear that Gingrich intended to wind down before Santa dropped out, if you watch his interview over the weekend.

I have a question. Did Ron, thanks to his performance in St. Charles, get a majority of the statewide delegates? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I calculated that Ron has gotten 849 delegates out of 2,123 total. Please, I would like to know! :)

Also, I believe the district delegates are on a different track in terms of electing delegates and last night should mean Ron gets some. My problem is CD 5 if I remember the right one, there the party cheated on Santa's behalf and Ron and Romney were jointly challenging it and saying they wouldn't seat Santa's delegates. Without Romney backing that at this point.... I don't know what happens. And if Romney can get a majority of whomever filled the Santa delegate seats to show up and back Romney, Romney may get it. If the 'good' Santa backers, who voted anti Romney simply give up and don't show up, and the only ones who do are party tools, I don't know how it will play out. We do have a lot of alternate slots.

but that was assuming the santa folks were separate from Romney folks. If they band together.... it will depend on if Santa folks show up, if they are anti Romney or party types who will go home with anyone the party anoints, and if the don't show up, if our alternates are the ones who do. Which I suspect may be a factor.

There was a post from Brent Stafford on the Daily Paul where he stated that national delegates are awarded by Congressional district and by State. He estimated us taking all but 1 or 2 Congressional districts and all the State nominations if St. Charles went well. St Charles was a sweep and we could end up with 40+ of the 50 national delegates at the State convention.

Good job everyone!

I have a couple of people in my precinct that are Santo folks but RP was their second choice and said they would vote for him if santo dropped. So I hope this is the normal reaction for many of these people.

I saw a LOT of that on Twitter last night. Well, Santorum's out.... I'm now a Paul supporter.

To all the speculators about Missouri,

I will not give confirmations or denials as to what we have regarding delegate counts.

Last night's victory was HUGE, but it DID NOT "officially" "win" Missouri for Ron Paul. It simply moved us a step closer to what we need.

Technically, NONE of the delegates HAVE to vote for a specific candidate. Of course most WILL vote for the candidate they support. However, all of those Santorum supporters that suddenly may not have a candidate are now up in the air. Some Missouri county caucus' DID bind their delegates to the primary, BUT that simply means the delegates identified themselves as supporters of a specific candidate so they were allocated by the MO primary results. This DOES NOT mean they have to vote for that candidate. Also, regardless of the state, by RNC rules any candidate that drops out prior to the national convention automatically unbinds their delegates. This means regardless of party rule those delegates are free to vote for whom they wish. Even if a candidate endorses another candidate it in no way binds their delegates to their endorsement, those delegates are still free to vote for whomever they wish.

As it currently stands, Santorum SUSPENDED his campaign, he hasn't officially withdrawn. His supporters can still continue to vote for him & draw up slates at their respective caucus'. They can even nominate him in Tampa since he currently has plurality in five states.

To top all of that off, there are several counties in Missouri whose caucus outcomes have been challenged. These will have hearings with the MOGOP & we won't know their results for a while. The outcome of these challenges will also affect the actual delegate counts.

Bottom line; All reports (including mine), no matter how hard the creators have tried to be accurate, will be speculation until after we see the outcome of the state convention. They are no more accurate than horse racing tips!

That said, I can't resist throwing in my $0.02 :p:

Santorum recently gave a speech where he said that a vote for Romney is no better than a vote for Obama & also ran this ad.

He recently sent emails to all of his supporters telling them to work with the Paul supporters against Romeny.

If he comes back in a few weeks, he's going to want Romney to have as few delegates as possible.

Hopefully this all adds up to him eventually endorsing Ron Paul.

We still have a long row to hoe. The only way we can guarantee success in Missouri is by being super duper nice, and educating as many non-Paul delegates as possible between now & the conventions!

So, I'm pretty sure I was sitting in the row behind Dokes last night. I could've reached out and touched him. I'm not sure how I didn't put two and two together last night. He was voting for all Paul stuff and had a Paul sticker on.

I think he just walks back to his seat.. This was funny, there was another guy (a lot like this guy) who approached the mic to let everyone know that someone behind him booed so loudly for the Mitt Romney slate that it "nearly burst my ear drum".. I'll post it if I can find it.

That's strange. He's still a horrible human being. He ought to be destroyed.
